Isn't aloe vera carcinogenic?

Hello & thank you for your question. The Aloe Vera Gel that is used in our NutriBiotic Throat Spray is not on the OEHHA list (Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment – People who set Prop 65 limits for carcinogens / heavy metals.) The concern for Aloe Vera carcinogens is the Aloe Vera whole leaf extract, the liquid portion of the Aloe vera leaf after removing all of the fibrous material, which creates Aloe with high levels of Aloin, the potential cause of carcinogens. The Aloe used in our product has been ‘decolorized’ during the processing via carbon filtration, which removes the Aloin from the Aloe Vera, which clears up any worry of carcinogens. Does this help with reducing the length of a cough from either a cold and/or allergies?

We use it only for sore throats, not coughs. My husband has that terrible allergy dry cough that he can't seem so shake off. If you know of a remedy please let me know!

it coats the throat as well as soothes it, my wife uses it all the time and it woks well for her when her throats gets sore.
