Distintive Flavor
I blend this tea with Ceylon black tea and it is wonderful. I know, everyone's taste is different, so you may not enjoy as much as I do. It arrived well packaged, well sealed and fresh. I keep it in the refrigerator to extend the life. If you are worried about loose tea as opposed to teabags, don't. I bought a coffee maker that I use exclusively for tea. Best Black Currant I can find on Amazon
I grew tired of Harney and Sons and the "currants" (possibly raisins). Elmwood has a much better and distinct flavor and a large upgrade from Harney and Sons.

Great. No reason taste.
We bought our black currant previously from a shop in Durango, Colorado. We would have them ship us 4lbs at a time. Unfortunately they quit carrying loose leaf tea and were unable to tell us which brand the used to carry (4 lbs lasted a while and the current staff did not know) Anyway... we had been in search of another quality black currant loose leaf tea. One without the “raisin” taste. We really like this one and have reordered it multiple times. Still not as good as the one from Durango but pretty close. We keep searching but this one is good too.

I first tasted the Black Currant Black tea in a restaurant in Fredericksburg, TX. It was served as an iced tea on a hot Texas day and it was outstanding. The store across street sold so we bought a bag and took it back to San Antonio with it. We drove back and forth for several years to buy this tea until last summer we were crushed to find out the store no longer carried it! Well, here it is on Amazon (of course!) and I couldn't be happier. Love this stuff! Bought my wife the Orange Vanilla while I was at it...

This is not proper black currant tea.
There is an added flavor, but it does not resemble black currant (cassis / ribes nigrum). It arrived fresh in a sealed bag, and there is a lot of it for the money, but unfortunately it isn't black currant tea.

I'm going to come right out and say this checks all the boxes for me. All around I'm glad to have purchased this tea.

Really good flavored black tea.
I drink a lot of tea. Recently I served this tea to my tea club (20 members) and everyone enjoyed the taste and aroma. Very rich and satisfying.
