Has anyone used this downstairs? Asking for a friend.

I've tried a couple times and wouldn't recommend. I had a basic one I used before where I could use the bare clippers on the skin and it wouldn't cut it. If these clippers get on my skin it nicks it and it's kinda painful if you get my drift. Would NOT recommend for manscaping. Actually came on here to see if this was rated for manscaping and to order a new one for that purpose. This is more for beards and MAYBE head hair.

can you use this for hair

The question is referring to trimming the head hair (medium/heavy duty), as opposed to just facial hair (light/medium duty). Yes, this can be used to trim the hair on your head. I have one and I use it for that. In fact, that's the safest place to use it because if you're not careful, it'll draw blood on your neck/face should you let the cutting tines press against your flesh at too high an angle.

What are the voltage ratings for this trimmer?

Voltage 110v or 100v? I use 110v. Please need to confirm before buying.

What are the hair cutting guard lengths?

You'll probably need to find an adjustable model rather than one with attachments for specific lengths. Philips Norelco does not seem to make a 2mm attachment for this model. You can try calling Philips Norelco at 800-243-3050.
