What a treat!
The dry cured olives from Marmarabirlik were unlike other black olives Iโve ever tried in the past. Theyโre as flavorful as they can be, and the olive oil renders naturally from the fruit on their own, almost as you would have from oil marinated canned goods. Iโd have to recommend them to you as they have been to me. Theyโre umami morseled, a tad herbaceous, and they vessel age-fermented notes, slightly winey notes, I canโt better write into words but couldnโt be more glad I heeded unto. Theyโre truly delectable and a delight to have! What a treat!

Excellent olives
These are delicious dried black olives. Since I've ordered them several times now, I should say they're reliably delicious dried black olives. Many thanks!

4.5 stars if I could; corn oil?
I have been buying a variety of olives online. These were my latest acquisition. I have liked all of the olives I have bought to date, some green, some black, and now these black dried olives. I am fonder of bitter flavor notes than my wife, so I like these more than she does, and understand that these are not bitter per se. They are very pleasant to eat, and I enjoy them plain as a snack and also as an addition, along with other varieties of olives in salads. The container, which others have had problems with, was intact when it arrived. I may try marinating these in olive oil with some added herbs, or garlic, or both, which may temper the slight bitterness and make them more appealing to my wife. These are definitely on my buy again list. I do want to explore other varieties and producers and see whether I like them even more, but I would be happy buying these again. I have already repurchased two other olive varieties that I bought, and this may end up being the third. The only disappointment that I have is that the ingredient list includes corn oil. Why use corn oil? Turkey produces some fine olive oil. It would seem much more natural to use olive oil. Finally, if the vendor happens to read reviews, let me point out that the pricing structure in the listing has major flaws. It should be obvious when you look at the listing. There is currently no incentive to buy multiunit lots. The price per item increases the more of them you buy. I don't know if the information that the vendor provided had an error or this is yet another example of what I call "Amazon math". I have pointed this out to Amazon, but my experience is that this is pointless. In many years of submitting errors, I don't believe I have ever seen the errors corrected. I hope the vendor will look at the listing and take the time to fix it.

Almost expired olives
Typically this is finest Turkish olive but the seller seems to be sending almost expired products which Amazon should do something about. On the box it says our batch of olives were produced in January 2025 and should be consumed by July 2026. Well just 28 days ahead of expiry, I can tell you they do not taste normal or well. There seems to be some sort of a chemical taste that Iโve never experienced before. Weโll have to throw the box away. I think it is unacceptable to send items like this. The seller should be more responsible.

Yummy Olives for My Bread!
I have been using these olives in my sour dough bread. They have pits so I have to pick them out. But they're worth it!

Dry, salty and a must for my dishes, hot or cold
If you like your olives dry and salty, as I do, these are perfect. I buy them several times a year. The smaller (400g) x2 is better than the 800g big one as it keeps them (the second half) fresh for longer.
