This test confirmed my suspicion. The kitten that was being given away for free in a Walmart parking lot wasnt just a "regular cat" I had to do a DNA test and the results came back VERY fast. And I didnt learn just about her breed, I learned about her coat type and any health issues she may be genetically prone to

I honestly feel like as expensive as this is, they could at the least provide you a better break down of their genetics. In my opinion it is a complete waste of money to still not know what your cats actual genetics are.

Love the testing for genetic conditions! So relieved my rescue Devon Rex isnt predisposed to any health concerns. The dog version of this test shows relatives who have done the test, apparently the cat version does not which is so disappointing. However now I know my cats blood type in case he ever needs medical intervention!! Overall happy with the results.

Let me start by saying I'm shocked they had enough dna to test it on the first try! I thought I didn't get enough on the swab but said, let's give it a go... if i have to try it again, I'll be better at it and it'll give my cat some time to forget about it. Well it worked! Just got my results!! The most important part is her health results. She is a carrier for a disorder but otherwise came up clear for everything. That peace of mind, regardless of its positive result in this case, is invaluable. It also got her colors right. She has 2 genes of dilution, 1 of color point, and 2 of solid color. Her ancestry is mostly American Domestic. She is a gray burmese looking baby. Her gray is considered "blue" (dilution), but she has very faint tabby stripes in the light. I also only just realized that her tail is darker than the rest of her fur, hitting the color point! I never saw in until I read this test and saw her in the light. Getting her appearance right gives me a sense that the test got her health right. And that's really what this test is about for me. I can see what she looks like, I don't need them to tell me what she probably looks like. But it was right!

Call me skeptical but I wanted to check the color genes on my new Devon Rex kitten and I saw this test was on sale so I decided to try it. I only provided her name and age so as not to provide any hints that a photo of a pure bred would have offered. The test results came back 2 weeks after I submitted and it was a full report that she was 100% Devon and her gene profile came back with what I expected along with the rest of the testing. The worst part of the process was trying to swab a kittens tiny mouth and thankfully we managed to provide an adequate sample. Definitely worth it if you are interested in your cats genetics.

I bought one for both of my furbabies. It was especially nice to have the health reports! They were mostly all clear of the tested genetic risks (they tested for 49, that's amazing!). Ziggy's was, but Charlie has one flagged as "notable" that I need to be aware of. I love that, to help me understand what it is and what it means, they give you a free 15 minute consultation with one of their vets. What's more, I can print out the whole genetics report of both cats for my own vet to have a copy of. The breed reports were really fun to read. Ziggy's didn't have many surprises. 99% American Domestic Cat and 1% American Curl. I hadn't heard of the last and it didn't represent Ziggy at all, but that is expected as it is only 1%. Charlie's was a lot more surprising. The Siamese was expected but the Norwegian Forest Cat was a surprise! In hindsight though it makes so much sense. Especially for his size. Also, the personality traits for Siamese mostly fit Charlie, but not completely. However when added to the Norwegian Forest Cat, it makes exactly Charlie! Lol! I really felt Wisdom Panel genuinely cares about the welfare of animals and I am glad I did these test. It well help me have peace of mind and insight into my cat's makeup and health.
