Sabre is a US made, quality gel-based Pepper Spray, unlike many of the Chinese ones available in the market. When it comes to security, get one which will not fail in an emergency. It can be carried everyday because of its small size and compactness. I purchased two for the ladies in the family to carry on their keychain/purse. The safety cap prevents accidental discharge while in the purse or pocket. The Company claims nearly 25 sprays (Gel) with a range of upto 12 feet. Since it is gel-based, it outputs a steady jet while most other canisters throw fumes-like spray. The gel keeps you safe from reverse spray due to wind or when in closed spaces. I feel every lady should carry atleast a small keychain torch and a pepper spray, for self-defence while travelling alone. Of course, keeping it handy and ready to use in doubtful situations is more important than just carrying it around. I often ride the city bus and walk a lot during the day and at night, so I started carrying pepper spray after I've had a few sketchy incidents with crazy people entering into my workplace and also encountering crazy people at a bus stop near the college campus. Fortunately, I have never been hurt or anything, but those kinds of situations can be traumatizing, and you never know when a situation can get out of hand. Those are times that would be good to have pepper spray just in case. I really like the flip top design rather than some of those other sliding tab ones that Sabre sells. The sliding ones felt kind of loose and felt like it may accidentally discharge in my pocket, but with this one, I don't feel like I need to worry about it because you have to slide your finger under the spring hinged cap and press down to shoot the gel. The key ring is nice and I always keep it on my lanyard. Although one time, the bottom, which is attached to the key ring got detached from the rest of the body of the pepper spray, but it was easy to just push back in and I didn't even have to use any kind of glue. I gave it a few hard tugs and it stayed together, so I think it should be good. I gave it a few test shots (which I recommend everyone do once they get it to see if it is working properly and so that they get some practice) and I'd say it shot out about 9 to 10 ft in a non-windy conditions. Overall, the design is really nice, and it sprays a good distance, but your aim has to be pretty accurate since it shoots in a stream rather than a mist. It fits nicely in the pocket and I often forget that I have it in my pocket. If you are walking someplace that maybe unsafe or walking at night, I recommend you walk with it in your hand or with your hand in your pocket, with your thumb under the flip top and over the button, so you can be ready to use it if it comes down to it. It's a great thing to have even if you don't think you'll need it. Just make sure that if you get one, replace it after the expiration date. I am a male in my twenties and I never thought I would want or need one, but I realized that it's a good thing to have just in case. Hopefully, I'll never have to use it, outside of testing and practicing.

I always carry this spray and it works well. I have noticed after time the plastic case gets weaker and the end pops off if the Keychain or bottle gets snagged on something. Like the pepper spray and its casing falls from the Keychain attachment
