Philips Over Ear Wired Stereo Headphones for Podcasts, Studio Monitoring and Recording Head
Overview: Great Entry-Level Gear for Creators If you are looking for an affordable, reliable entry into audio production, these Philips over-ear headphones (specifically models like the SHP2000 or SHP2500) offer surprising performance at a budget-friendly price point. While they won't replace high-end audiophile gear, they are an excellent starting point for podcasters and hobbyist recorders. Key Features Detailed Audio Performance: Equipped with 40mm neodymium drivers, these headphones deliver clear sound and impactful bass that helps you catch nuances during recording. Extended 6-Meter Cable: One of the standout features is the extra-long 6-meter (approx. 20ft) cord, giving you plenty of room to move around a studio or sit back from a TV or computer. Universal Compatibility: It includes a 3.5mm to 6.3mm (1/4") adapter, making it easy to switch between your smartphone, computer, and professional audio interfaces or keyboards. Lightweight Comfort: Designed for long sessions, the adjustable headband and luxurious ear cushions help reduce ear fatigue and prevent excessive sound leakage. The Verdict These headphones are a solid "bang-for-your-buck" choice. They provide the passive noise isolation needed to focus on your mix while remaining lightweight enough to wear for hours. Pros: Extremely affordable. Massive cable length for studio flexibility. Crisp sound quality for the price. Cons: Maximum volume can be a bit lower than more expensive models on some devices. Mostly plastic build requires careful handling. Would you like me to compare these to other entry-level studio monitors?

Great value headset.
GREAT value! My wife uses them with the e-piano we purchased and she loves them. They are comfortable to wear and the sound output quality is excellent.

The cord is waaaaaay longer than I ever expected!
I bought the silver headphones. I just wanted some headphones so I could listen to my records and not wake up the whole house. When I first took them out, I liked they way they looked and Philips is a well known brand. I also liked the fact that I could connect the headphones with two different jacks. What I wasnโt prepared for was the extremely long cord!! Iโve never owned headphones like this. I can walk to another bedroom and not tug on the cord. I took a close look at the box and it says TV listening 6m. Thatโs 6 meters! I didnโt want TV headphones, but thatโs what I was sent. I looked back on the product page and the video even says 2m. That would have been better. I guess in the bright side is that I can walk around my office room and have enough cord to walk around. The sound quality is decent. Wish it had more bass, but it could just be the record player. I do like the feel of the fabric ear pads and the volume control wheel on the cord itself. I wonโt return them, but just want you to be aware.

Sound good. Soft foam pads feel very comfortable.
This review is for the PHILIPS Over Ear Wired Stereo Headphones (the silver ones). These are good headphones. It has decent sound. I found this model to work great with my computer setup. I have it connected to a small mixer so I can share the headphones with other non-wireless devices. When the headphones are new the plastic arch feels stiff, but in time the headphones adjust to your head size. The cable length is super long but the signal never deteriorates as to stop functioning. The adjustable volume is handy and I use it often. What I like best about these headphones is the soft foam material for the headphone pads. It feels very comfortable on the ears and also it is easy to remove for cleaning. In my opinion I think it is a good wired option and for my purposes it works fine.

Decent choice, under the right conditions
Simple, gets the job done. A bit hot if you have to wear for long periods of time. Great option for work if you aren't allowed usb/wireless headsets.

Great sound and more pronounced bass
I purchased these just to listen to music on my cell phone and Sony Walkman, so no professional. I bought this set and Rumoon headphones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D14FBD59?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 My comparison of the two: This set sits more comfortable on my head, but I did find I felt a bit of a squeeze just under my ear, although they felt great On my ear, and overall, after moving them around the squeeze wasn't enough to deter me away from them. The sound is very good on these, way better than the AKG earbuds I tried to use, (which were horribly tinny and would not fit right in my ears). There were a couple of songs where it was a little 'crackly' in my ears, but both these and the Rumoon did it to be honest. The volume is definitely lower on these than on the Rumoon. I don't like exceptionally loud noises anyway, so with the headphones all the way up and my phone volume all the way up, it was still comfortably loud. It would probably be too low for a lot of people. It is a nice feature that the cord is Really long, like super long, and there's volume control right on the cord. It was a really hard decision for me which set to go with, but ultimately, I prefer the bass being a bit more pronounced, which makes the music feel more immersive to me.

Very Disappointed
I have always trusted Philips brand to be quality products. I no longer feel that trust. I bought these to replace a similar headphone, also similarly-priced, by Kensington. I replaced the old ones because after years of working great, the foam ear pieces are falling apart. So now I'm doing a direct comparison of this new Philips product against the old Kensington product, and the old ones are far superior. My complaints: (1) These Philips headphones do not fit well, they are not comfortable. (2) The jack does not fit well and creates all kind of static if I barely move the wire. I know it's not the music player because other headphones don't do this. (3) The headphone speaker volume is very low. I have to turn the volume on the music player almost to max just to get a decent sound. (4) The bass distorts even at low volume level. The sound quality on these is just not good. I do not recommend these headphones to anyone and I'll think twice now before buying Philips brand.

Cheap but ok
kinda cheesy but what did I expect. I wanted to have earpieces kind of oblong in shape and these fit the bill. Sound ok for cheapies.
