The only brand of melting wafers I buy. Perfect for filling thumbprints, dipping cookies, strawberries and pretzels. I think the quality of Merkens is the best. I use the double boiler method when melting chocolate. I tried using the microwave, but the chocolate does not have the same smooth consistency. Love the taste of this chocolate and the way my finished product looks!

You really get excellent results with it. How I make chocolate-covered strawberries at home: Melt the desired amount of chocolate in a heat-safe bowl over the steam of boiling water (double boiler method). Once fully melted, mix in one teaspoon of coconut oil to add shine and smoothness. Take strawberries straight from the refrigerator, dip them into the chocolate, and place them back in the fridge immediately until they set. Simple, delicious, and professional-quality results every time. Highly recommended!

Dear Merkins, you were always my favorite, but I CANNOT be the first one this has happened to. :( I have ordered chocolate wafer melts MANY times through the mail and they come with a cool pack so they won't melt. This was one big waste of a clump. It won't re-melt now. I live in Pittsburgh , not in a hothot state like FL or AZ. this was $23.00! and no refunds? also, I was to be making with some children scheduled and now we cannot use this chocolate. NOTE: I've been doing chocolates for well over 40 years, so I do know how to add a tad of this or that when it seizes up. and it still didn't work. (certain oils) NOT pleased at all.

The chocolate works fine in my little pots that are made for fondue and chocolate molding, but it does take longer to melt these ones if you want milk chocolate I would probably use chocolate chips, but if you want a bigger supply, this would work. I just don’t agree with the price or that you can’t use EBT to purchase it. Otherwise it taste fine and it can be shaped easily

This chocolate came in one time and wasn't damaged at all. It melted very well and coated my cookies well too. The taste wasn't chalky at all. For what you get it's at a good price.
