Is the ink black, sepia or some combination? Description is very confusing.

Please excuse the confusion, this pack has 2 each of both colors black and sepia in both sizes: one black 003 tip, one black 005 tip, one sepia 003 tip and one black 003 tip.

Would this set be good for abstract acrylic paintings on canvas where you'd like to include defined lines (thin) in our design? Thanks very much.

Micron pens were made for paper. They should work well on primed canvas, however, it may be too rough of a surface for the needle-like tips in this set. Micron 01 might be a better choice. For drawing on top of acrylic, Sakura would recommend that you test to ensure that the ink does not smear. If it does smear, try Sakura Microperm which adheres well to plastics. Or, if you need the ink to be archival, Sakura Permapaque which unfortunately is not available in ultra-fine tip size.

How long do these last with near daily use? And if stored properly

I find these are pretty long lasting - unless you press hard and split the fibers of the tip. Proper storage helps a lot. I don’t use each of mine daily, so can’t say exactly how long they would last, but they do not run out quickly like some pens. I love these, they are my drawing pen of choice.

How does the sepia look like?does this color good for annotating first aid usmle?

The sepia is on the warm brown/slightly orangey side. It's a nice color. I don't know about annotating first aid usmle, however.
