A Shavette Blade is half of a Double-Edged Safety Razor Blade
These are made for a device called a "shavette" (look it up). They are exactly what they appear to be: halved double-edged safety razors. As expected, they do not fit in my single-edged razor, but do fit well in my double-edged, butterfly-type safety razor. They are quite sharp and keep an edge well: so these certainly made for shaving. Shipped promptly. My box showed some wear, like it sat on a shelf for a while. Contents were individually wrapped, and pristine.

Replaceable straight razor half blades are really nice.
Half blades are really nice for use in the proper straight razor. The new wave of straight razors seems to be in the direction of replaceable blade razors in the home as well as the barber shop. Half blades fit without the suspense of breaking a whole blade in half without removing half your thumb. These blades are sharp and last well.

which is both a good and a bad thing
Much sharper than the Shark blades I used to use, which is both a good and a bad thing. Took me a while to get used to these blades, cut myself a few times. Overall a good purchase.

Love these things, but don't take my word for it. Try some out for yourself.
Shaving with a shavette, you need a good quality blade that agrees with your skin. These do the trick for me and I love them. The half blades save the hassle of breaking a traditional double edge in half and I really enjoy shaving with these. I was using the Shark brand before and I find these agree with my face a little more. Before you commit to 100 of these little guys though I suggest getting one of the sample packs of Razors (available on Amazon) and trying out a bunch of different brands. Everyone's skin will respond differently to different razors and you need to find out what works best for you. For me, these are the Bee's Knees right now.

Okay for edging, don't bother trying to shave your face.
I didn't find them to be that great. For a very quick edging around my sideburns and then instant disposal, they work alright, but not as well as the Shark blades (which I don't really care for either.) They are very sharp, but they lose it almost instantaneously.

They are awesome and sharp
I bought these over a year ago and I have about 80 left... They are awesome and sharp, I'm using them with a Parkers SR1 and after "learning" how not to cut myself shaving I have to say that I should have done this a long time ago. Best value for the buck!
