I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I bought a different name brand one of these last year. I I have purchased your brand for years years years only for myself, and for other people, I know that have a garage, cabin or even an emergency backup in case electricity goes out. So as you know, the rep purchased your product and it’s not breaking down. It’s working perfectly thank you very much.

I bought this heater almost three years ago and it's worked like a champ. I've never had a single problem with it. I bought the 10,000 btu heater, hung it on the wall, then drilled a hole through the wall for a 5' stainless propane hose so that I could set my barbecue propane tank outside. Even the low setting, which I almost always use, produces more than 3x the heat of my electric space heater. And on low my 20lb propane tanks usually last about a week (that's intermittent use; 3-1/2 days running non-stop). I don't know much about the Mr Heater brand, but I would definitely buy this again. This little heater rocks.

Great little heater. Been using it the last 3 years in my hunting blind. Heats up rapidly. 20lb tank lasts most of the 2 week season. Ignitor is loud other than that its great.

I got this a week ago and played like hades to stop leaking, only to find it is leaking WITHIN the unit. I've been on hold with their customer service line for about 45 minutes now just waiting to hear from someone. I have a gas leak detector and all connections are great - no leaks. But when I turn on the LP and place the leak detector AWAY from the connections, it goes off almost immediately. I have seen other reviews where gas is simply not getting to to the pilot/burner, so I'm sure this is a manufacturing defect - but I'm having a terrible time just getting thru to Customer Service so I can warranty this unit out and get another. I might have to just simply go thru Amazon to get a refund on a defective/dangerous product and go with another brand? I'd hate to do so because I also bought a 30k BTU unit and it had no problems whatsoever for over a week. I will update this review until I get a resolution. ***UPDATE*** Had a friend come over and we found the leak from within. He said it was most likely from shipping, and was a quick 10-second fix. It is now running like a champ. I keep checking with the soapy water and leak detector and so far so good. So I am bumping the stars up to 4/5, the lack of the final star on shipping.

I was considering buying the next larger size. I’m happy with this smaller one. Turns out I usually run this on Low. The tank also lasts twice as long on low heat. On high heat I roast, and end up turning it back to low. My house is poorly insulated, built in 1959. Burning wood in the fireplace is nice but they draw cold air into all cracks and crevices as hot air goes out the chimney. I use this heater in front of the fireplace with the damper and doors closed. I also mounted a small fan about one foot above the heater to blow hot air further into the room as the heat rises from the heater, if I choose. Last winter in the early evening my electricity went out. It was 22degrees Fahrenheit outside. I left this on low all night and it kept the living room 60 degrees and the back bedroom 58 degrees. It didn’t use much propane. I know how much propane I have because I set the tank on a ten dollar bathroom scale zeroed out when the tank was empty. It’s surprisingly accurate. Your better off to do this with the cheaper mechanical scales, otherwise with a digital scale that uses batteries, shut off and you must reach down and turn them on each time the check.

Last year, during a great sale price I bought 2 of these heaters. 10,000 btu on propane isn't quite right, though. I believe it's more like 12,000 btus. They kick out the heat big time. Easy to hook up (portable for me) and easy to light and use. Couldn't be happier. Just wish I had bought more as I needed 5 so each bedroom and master bathroom sure could use them. Hopefully, another great sale prices will come along and I can get the other 3. If not, it's still worth the price at any price when you're needed heat in a power outage or just to supplement heat for a quick warm up.

Heater does work. You get what you pay for with this. The pilot light won't light on its own i have to use a peice of paper. The stove has to thermostat so it's on or it's off. You have to turn it manually. I should have read more about it, that's my own fault. So if u can use a heater that burn constantly this is for you.

This thing is amazing. Puts out so much heat for very little propane. I wasn’t sure what it included so I just chatted with Mr Heater and asked him. He told me exactly which model hose to get so I just ordered that too. Includes both brass connectors for wall hanging or free standing. I was up and running in about 6 minutes. Really well made unit, definite maximum bang for your buck.
