This is the best choice for poly welding. Its 200 watt iron is the way to go verses the cheaper, lower watt alternative poly welding irons sold by others. Especially welding thicker poly structures such as larger water tanks. Follow the package instructions completely and you'll be happy. Be sure to give iron plenty time to fully heat up, then test with practice piece. This is a quality built product! Did a great repair on my 5,000 gallon water storage tank.

Works very well for patching plastic. Just make sure you use the correct plastic for a repair. The included green sticks seem to be a lower strength plastic then the Coleman canoe I fixed. Ended up cutting slivers off the insulation retaining end panels to use for repairs.

I’m writing this for my husband. I heard his reaction after using this to fix a hole in our septic tank. He had the hole piece that had been previously cut out. It worked great and they welded the piece back on, repairing the hole. My son, who’s a metal welder and helped with the repair, thought it was ingenious!
