An excellent budget friendly launch monitor.
I purchased the PRGR Launch Monitor about a month ago. I bought it primarily for speed swing training and short game like pitching and chipping. It has been great for my intended use.I love that I don't need an app to use it. The screen is very clear and easy to read even in bright sunlight.I have also used it for full swings on the range and it seems accurate. It is very easy to use and offers a great amount of data. As I mentioned I use it a lot for chipping and pitching so it really helps with my shorter distances as well as better tempo for those shots. For the price, this is a great budget launch monitor that will definitely help you with a variety of shots. It is small and very portable is it fits quite easily in your golf bag without taking up a lot of space. It takes batteries to power it so ensure you have extra batteries on hand for when it starts running low. I am not sure what that time frame is but just be aware of the power source.I would definitely recommend this as it is easy to use and easy to set up on the range.

This is a GREAT Launch Monitor!
I tried other launch monitors including the Garmin G80, Garmin R10, the ShotScope LM1 and THIS one beats them all for ease of use, price, consistency, accuracy and visibility. No phone or app needed. Runs on AAA batteries -- which is fine. They seem to last quite a while. I put the monitor on a mini tripod (monitor has a 1/4" screw hole) to lift it off the hot concrete at the range. So EASY to program which club you are using (has them all) and easy to see the result of each shot at a glance. Doesn't require precise positioning -- it can pick up the shot! Has all the essential data most of us golfers need. Highly recommend!!

Solid product for the money
After a ton of research I went with the PRGR. I have used it on a few sessions in my net and at the range. I can say the product is consistent. It picks up every shot and the readings are in line with how I felt I hit the shot. I did find it became more accurate as the clubs got longer. I went through the whole bag and the 7 iron was when things started to line up number wise. The shorter irons not so much. For example, I hit 25 shots with a 9 iron and absolutely pured several of them. My longest distance was 102 yds, while I was actually hitting the club 130-140yds. However, it was consistent, when I missed one, my yardage would drop accordingly. But, 100 yds is typicalling my sand wedge. Driver seemed pretty spot on, carry distance would be 240-260yd, which is about spot on. The other thing that bothered me was that I was getting 1.56 smash factor readings on the driver, from my research these numbers are not possible. In the end I sent it back because if it is not accurate, then what is really the point.

If it's good enough for Padraig Harrington...
This has been a great tool to start understanding my swing speed. Easy to use and take around. Padraig Harrington recommended it on his YouTube channel I believe. I have taken it to the local golf course that has Top Tracer at the range. They compare favorably. Top Tracer only gives ball speed, so you don't know how fast you're swinging or how efficiently your hitting it (smash factor) but this gives you those values and that's important because that's what I can try to get better at. I like especially that you can swing in the backyard and it will tell you how fast you're going without a ball. That has been great just to see what I can really top out at.

Great for optimizing distance consistency
This is for an advanced level golfer who can read ball flight once you've got your swing figured out. It does Club speed ball speed, smash Factor and carry total. This does not deal with club path or any of the other metrics. Perfect for the range if you're trying to optimize distance and consistency
User
Not bad for the price
If all you want to measure is your swing speed then this product is just fine. However, I found that it doesn't accurately measure ball carry/total distance compared to higher end products. If you're looking for better data on ball speed and distance then look elsewhere.

Perfect for what it is. HIGHLY Accurate
I am a plus handicap golfer and the most important thing to me is accuracy. I do not have $20K for the top of the line equipment so I have been trying many launch monitors. I found this product to be the best for my needs. Doesn't overheat in the sun like MLM and it is consistent and with a small margin of products like Trackman and GC Quad. I have tested it against both several times. It is bare minimum on data, but the data is correct. Which is mind very helpful. The calculated carry distances are good enough. I have found the club head speed to be incorrect at times. For example, 119 club head and 123 ball speed. So, it is very obvious when it is incorrect. I use mine more for seeing my ball speeds shot to shot and range session to range session. But it has been good for getting new carry numbers and seeing when I am having a slower swing speed day. It is easy to set up and use all day long. I really like mine and use it every time I am on the range practicing or warming up. If you are looking for accuracy and portability, this is the unit for you.

Absolute piece of junk
Piece of junk. Has probably been able to discern the difference between the club and ball speed about 10% of the time. Other, albeit slightly more costly monitors, pick up every shot. There's a reason it's so cheap, folks. You've been warned.

Handy device to have
The Ball Speed and Swing speed measurements are quite accurate. Though carry distance won't be accurate for longer clubs since it's not actually reading your trajectory or your spin rate - it merely throws your ball speed into a algorithm for the club you have specified on the device to try and get a carry estimate; it assumes a optimal launch + spin rate for the specified club. It's still handy though because you can see how far you should be able to carry the ball with a given club based on your ball speed if your launch conditions and spin were mostly optimal. So for example, I hit my 8 iron around 120 mph ball speed, so it gives me around 170 yards of carry which is quite accurate.I also like to use it for speed training and doing driver swings without a ball, and it works great. Overall, I've managed to get a lot of use out of this product.

Does what it claims to do
I liked this product. It does what it professes to do and it is affordable. It is simple to operate. It would be nice if it provided angle of attack and spin rates, but presumably those functions would cost more.
