Midori Giant Edamame Seeds for Planting - Survival Garden Seeds (1 Pack)

Amazing quality seeds for growing the perfectly healthy and abundantly producing edamame plants at home. The germination rate of this product is extremely high and you get bright green looking edamame pods that are all plump and of overall large size too. The Midori Giant variety sure holds up to it's name! Planting these seeds are extremely easy. I literally just took them out of the packet that was shipped, put the seeds in some small pots with basic potting soil, then transplanted them into raised beds once they sprouted.

I had a problem with the first batch of seed not sprouting well, but they were quickly replaced with new packs of seed which are doing much better. I ordered 5 packs as you get a good price break and I wanted to be able to plant throughout the summer to have a continuing supply of edamame. I commend the vendor for responding quickly and solving my problem. If you are interested in growing you own edamame, I recommend you give these guys a try.

THESE ARE NOT SOYBEANS!! THEY ARE COMMON BEANS! I was very excited to try my first season growing soybeans. 4/5 seeds germinated and now after ~1 month are starting to flower. I was watching some videos on midori giant soybeans and realized the leaf shape of mine vs the ones in the video wasn't quite the same. I took a photo of them and used google lens, and it is saying that this is a common bean plant!!! So if you want to pay 2x for common beans then buy this product. Otherwise steer clear! :'(

I planted 6 of these seeds for the first time this year. ALL 6 are growing beautifully. I planted them as a direct sow in my garden, zone 7b. I won’t know until harvest of the taste quality but the plants are healthy.

There were about 30 seeds in the package. Four--yes, four--germinated. Seeds were planted according to instructions. Plants are growing very slowly. I may update this review depending on yield at the end of summer. UPDATE: the seller reached out to me and will be sending a new package of seeds for next season! This kind and courteous service is much appreciated! Many thanks.

Came as expected grew beside other edemame variety. Are notably larger beans but less beans per plant. Probably about the same total havest overall but less larger beans means less time processing. Taste is the same. Will be planting these again. Hope to find in larger pack options.

Extremely poor germination rate. Planted 5 packages and only ended up with 4 plants total. Disappointed.
