Upgrade your foam cutting experience today with our Hot Knives! Review: It does exactly what it says it does. - If you need to cut through anything that can melt, this is the tool to use. It cuts through styrofoam like butter and through anything else that has the potential to melt. It comes with 2 different sizes of blades. One longer blade and a shorter blade. It also comes in a very nice box for storage. You could throw this thing down 10 flights of cement stairs and it wouldn’t hurt it. I highly recommend this product. It is built with quality in mind. It’s very durable and a great value product for your money. It also has a little thingy to put down when you’re not using it. So that it won’t fall over or hurt someone. So safety is involved in this particular item. Review: I've used other, more expensive ones, but these work great for me - I've been updating my reviews on products that I am still using and really like... this is definitely one of those! I make sure to use a brass wire brush (small one) to clean the blade after use, while the blade is still warm... stays clean and probably lasts longer that way. It definitely helps when cutting the next fabric, to have a clean blade. I did order a couple of spare blades, but so far I'm still on the original one, almost 2 years later. The storage case still works, although as some mentioned... those clasps aren't very high quality. Having said that... they work. Just a bit loosey-goose feeling to me. . I've been sewing boat canvas for the past few years, part-time. I needed my own hot cutter to replace a burned out soldering iron with a knife blade I was using. I've used other industrial hot cutters before also. This unit works great. I put my own markings on the wheel, easy peasy. I have worked Sunbrella and WeatherMAX 80 with this cutter, with no issues.

Simple and easy to use
Heats up very quickly. Easy to adjust the level of heat. Long cord. Comes in a nice storage case. Prevents fraying of "plastic" fabrics - polyester, polypropylene - These types are usually outdoor, waterproof fabric. I've used it to cut and seal parachute cord as well. Using this hot knife makes a smooth edge and fuses the cut fibers preventing unravelling. Probably too expensive if you're only doing a couple cushions, but definitely a time saver if you are doing this for a living or side hustle.

Works as described. I was surprised how fast it cut.
Minor complaint, it would be nice if the knife fit in the case with the blade mounted. Temperature control works well and cuts fast. faster and better than scissors plus edge is sealed. Highly recommend for outdoor acrylic or polyester fabric.
