I am always purchasing these, they are good quality and it gets the job done in my hair.

I use this hair sponge to make small twists. My hair is short and the sponge's holes are close enough together to create a pattern of nicely spaced twists that look very neat. A new thing I discovered is to use the pronged side of the sponge first, then switch to the flat-holed side - so it only takes about 15 or 20 minutes to do my whole head of loose hair! I only need to use the pronged side at the beginning of a fresh set. It's not really so much a down side, but more the nature of the product that these sponges have a short life span. After their surface loses it's' initial stiffness, they don't coil the hair as neatly and cleanly. And since you can't really clean them except in a rudimentary way, I wouldn't want to use them for too long anyway. (My pics here are after using one sponge that is nearing its end of life; still a nice, casual look... just not as defined as initial use) So I figure they're priced to accommodate those issues and they're packaged so someone can buy more, or less of them to suit their budget. A worthwhile buy that makes what could be a tedious job into a very easy one. When I sleep with a silk or satin cap it's a quickie to touch up!

Good for short natural hair type. Pick comb cleans easier than the sponge brush. From natural hair coils onto picked out afro, the 3-in-1 buy is very versatile! If you cannot wait for delivery, you can buy it at a nearby store, the items looks the same in appearance. You have an extra sponge brush for someone else or you can save it as a backup because the sponge brush falls apart later.
