If you have a lucky eater whose appetite is off, this is an easy to grab short term protein source to get their appetite going. It really appears no different from human canned chicken. It smells the same. You don’t have to worry about excessive salt or unsafe additives. My own very picky dog loves it, so not only can you tell that it’s just real chicken but it obviously tastes just as good. As far as the variety, I have gotten the variety packs in the past. However the chicken is the only one is strictly just pure chicken and not some sort of stew like dog food. My dog refused all of the others. It’s not well balanced long term as a stand alone diet but it’s great protein for a dog who just won’t eat to get them jump started or as a food topper or additive to try to entice them. It’s definitely my go to my kids appetite is off because I don’t have to worry about it making him sick or giving him stomach upset or diarrhea and it’s also a great little treat for him that he absolutely loves when he deserves a special reward. He also tends to get very high strung if we go away overnight for the holidays and he won’t eat much of anything. This is a great thing to pack to make sure he gets calories and protein and it’s something that I know that he will eat no matter how anxious he is. But again- it’s not a balanced diet and not something that I could recommend as a long term diet, as a veterinary professional.

My guy loves this. I top his dry food with 1/2 container of this per day (I refrigerate the other half in a sealed, plastic container). It's just enough to get him to eat his breakfast. I prefer items made in the US, and this comes from Thailand, and we haven't had any issues at all with the product. Great for fussy eaters as a topper.

Costly ... but my lil Chinese pug loves it.
