Great Book Set!
My daughter loves me to read her Ivy and Bean Books! We purchase the books because she likes to read them again and again. The stories are so fun and silly. I wish this set was available when I was a young reader. I think I would have enjoyed reading more than I did. I am happy to see my daughter so enthusiastic about reading. It is such a joy.

Ivy and Bean adventures( books about girls)
This is a cute book series about two little girls and their adventures. My first graders loved these books. I love to see books with females as the heroines.

So much fun!!
Excellent books for the seven-to-nine year-old child. The main characters are girls (which is hard to find), but better yet, they are normal, interesting children where gender doesn't even matter at all -- as all children's books should be in my opinion. The stories are fun, interesting, filled with mysteries and mess-ups and just the right amount of naughtiness to appeal to most kids. My granddaughter hung on every word! I would say that the reading level for kids who want to read them on their own is around high seven-year-old to eight-year-old.

A unique twist on the apocalypse....
This series has potential. The story develops a little slowly, but by the end, we are engrossed and definitely hooked. The ending is shocking and certainly makes the viewer believe there is a story to follow. The acting is a bit choppy..there are moments when the words coming out ot the actors mouths just don't ring true, but there is plenty of action and the staging and production are first rate. I'm ready for more......

Love the Ivy & Bean books!
I absolutely love this series. I read a few chapters to my 5-year-old every night before bed, and she is always begging for more. Annie Barrows is so great at thinking like a kid, remembering how they genuinely interact with each other and what they're interested in. It's also nice that the kids stay the same age throughout the series. In the Ramona Quimby books, for example, Ramona is a year older in each book, so they can get beyond your child's level a little in terms of content, which is too bad if she starts off loving them and wants to read them all.

Spunky, creative and fun characters! Fantastic books!
Ivy and Bean is a great book series for young elementary kids. I have recommended these books to everyone I know with young kids. The main characters are neighbors and best friends and always have some crazy adventure they are going on. They are spunky, creative and so fun to read about. Both my daughter and son loved these books. It was a perfect first read aloud chapter book for our family. I have a feeling the kids will be reading these again themselves as soon as they are able. We were so sad when we finished the last book of the series.

These are best books ever as per my daughter, age 8. She read all 12 of them. It took her a day to go through each book and she thinks they are hilarious.

My six year old niece absolutely LOVES these stories! She has already sped through 9 books and I get a kick out of watching her read; she giggles out loud and then wants to tell me all the funny situations that the two little girls in the book get into. I was so happy by her response that I borrowed the first three book off her shelf for myself. Now, I'm giggling out loud while I read. Thanks, Annie Barrow, for knowing just how to connect to and inspire little girls, even the one tucked away in some of the grown ones.
