My Katana Rewiew
This is truly a work of art, true master craftsmanship. It's exactly what you see being advertised. Came packaged very secure and received in two days. The blue blade is beautiful as well as sharp. See my video for full review.

Identical to pictures
This Wakizashi arrived straight and sharpened. Initially everything is solid and well put together - no rattle, no wobble. The No-Bohi blade is 20.5 inches long (from the Tsuba) and 7mm thick at the Habaki, to 3.7mm at the Kisaki - this distal taper keeps the point of balance closer to your hand. Most Wakizashi builders do not implement this feature. The Tsuka handle is 8.25 inches long. None of the Tsuka handle hardware draws a magnet, but the tang does until the last 1.8 inches of handle. The Kochira pommel isn't in a picture, but it's that relatively common "S" shaped dragon design - lots of sword builders prefer to use it. I prefer it over most other options. I like this Dragon Tsuba more than I probably should. It has become popular with a few other sword builders lately - DeJiang uses it on one of their popular swords. This katana also arrived inside of a short, inexpensive sword bag. I had kept an eye on this advertisement for more than a year before I finally ordered one. There's something peculiar about the fake-looking pictures that just didn't look quite right, and the price still hasn't fluctuated over the past few years.. But it truly is just as nice looking in person as it appears in these product pictures. This Wakizashi arrived inside of a clamshell style box, held in place by 6 (U-shaped) pieces of Styrofoam. The smell of Choji oil hits immediately after opening the box, which is a significant improvement over the typical reek of machine oil, and this really does improve the katana receiving experience. Besides the free sword bag, the handle was shrink wrapped and the blade wore a thin plastic sleeve that helps keep the Choji oil from evaporating. This truly is the most brilliant way to present a katana, and this is a pretty clear reason why the Original Katana Swords company has so much return business - straight, sharpened swords with an emphasis put on enhancing the receiving experience for the buyer. Also, the nondescript Amazon delivery box was much appreciated. Recommendation: Yes, I am quite pleased with mine. Even just that "improved receiving experience," was plenty enough reason to consider buying any OKS katana. Other sword sellers should take note of this simple and effective detail..

Start your journey
Katana delivered on time. The entire unit is exceptional for a production blade. The minor components are as expected and commercial, however the fit and finish are above expectations. Obvious attention to detail over the entire sword has been taken. I own several custom one of a kind swords of very discrete quality of old world craftsmanship with modern technology. Says made in China on the box, not sure about all of the origin.. I do know for the price you will not be disappointed when you inspect this Blade.. look at in natural light. I chose to buy on curiosity how well could a 9260 steel blade commercially and inexpensively be built. With that said. Recommended as a great start to the affliction of owning weapons of all kinds, Enjoy the quest 🍀🇺🇸🤙 CJD

Attractive and well made Katana (Twist Damascus Red Gold)
I really like the appearance of this Katana. The Twist Damascus blade is quite stunning and very sharp. The tsuka and Sageo are wrapped with a very distinct looking tape that really stands out. The tsuka, fuchi, and kashira are a bit overdone. Some might find it a bit gaudy what with all the gold on the fittings and Saya. Overall, the package is very attractive even if a bit overdone. The Saya is a bright black drizzled with gold paint. I find it pleasing to look at. If I had to come up with a criticism I would have to say that the fittings let it down slightly. But opinions vary and others might find it quite pleasing. The good news is that it’s very well made. Tight fitting and a very sharp blade. The transitions match up nicely. The Ito is tight, though not overly so but adequate. The red colored Samegawa is real. A real plus for me. For the price ($180) it’s hard to beat for what you get. Do I believe it’s worth it? Yes I do! (You may want to expand the pics for better viewing)

Good decoration
Actually sharp, decent quality. I’d assume for the price they’re only for decoration but looks quite nice. Very nice

Couldn't have asked for a better starter katana.
EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! I honestly wasn't holding my breath when I first placed my order. My entire opinion changed after it arrived. Honestly very durable, I have tried a lot of different styles with this sword (sword techniques). Not a single complaint yet. Well balanced, came very sharp, was pre-oiled when received. I've heard some complaints of it being hard to draw the sword (false!). With proper techniques for drawing a katana it's smooth as butter. Completely satisfied with my purchase, and honestly look forward to buying my next sword from here.
