SPOTMYUV 16-Pack UV Stickers for Sunscreen with Patented Dermatrue SPF Sensing Technology

Unfortunately we only used 2 spots from this large pack as on the first day the cleaners stole them from our hotel room. The one day we used them they were great. So much so because of these stickers we went through 4 bottles of sun cream in 9 days. They really make you aware of how quickly your sun cream comes off. We were in Turkey with temperatures of 36-40 degrees, because of these spots we didn’t burn at all. They might seem expensive but I think 100% worth it, just so you don’t burn. They go really clear where you can’t see them then bright purple. Just wish we had a chance to use them on our holiday.

I am super pale, I used these on a 5 day cruise to the Carribean over spring break. My advice is to get them if you are super pale like me (natural strawberry blond or red heads, that shade of pale) You put the sticker on first. That is key! Then apply sunscreen. It works! I didn't burn at all. Ya'll, I didn't burn!! First time I didn't burn at all on a vacation! It was GREAT! Highly recommend.

I live in south Florida; born and raised. Applying sunblock is a must and something I was always use to doing….however after a beach vacation in April; my daughter got the worst sunburn (18 years until her first sunburn, not bad) but it was confusing because we kept reapplying. As we planned our next trip I researched sunblocks and saw these little stickers; figured we would give it a try. Well, It boiled down to #1 the sunblock spray we were using was crap (good brand too, just didn’t protect us at all). Secondly, My daughter and I have ADHD; so while shark tooth hunting we get tunnel vision and hyper focused and would think only an hour passed and it was 2 hours! I set an alarm to remind me on my phone, every time my phone went off the sticker was beginning to turn purple, which meant it was time to reapply. Soon, I didn’t set my alarm and would just see my daughters little sticker and remind me or her. Definitely keeping in my beach bag!

So after a holiday abroad and the good weather back home, I used these every day and my LB has never burned. Pop one on in the morning before going in the sun and apply sun cream as usual and the spot will go clear then we are good to go! I wish I had know about these sooner! What I really love is that my LB is more aware of sun safety and will actually ask for more cream on if he notices the colour begin to change. Before it was like wrestling with an octopus getting him to put it on 🤣. Definitely recommend and have to my family and friends as well as anyone who asked “what is that wee spot?” 👌🏻

I was very impressed with this UV Detection stickers. The most important thing to know about this is A. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! and B. They work better with sunscreen CREAM / LOTION vs. the spray stuff. I have used it with both. The spots themselves are very adhesive (especially on clean skin) and will last a whole day of sun / water activities. I used them for our field day (I'm a teacher) and recently on a cruise vacation and if anything, they are a great physical reminder to apply sunscreen. So directions state that you must cover the spot and let it sit for 30 seconds FIRST, then rub it in with the rest of your sunscreen. Then you step out into the sun and it should change color. (I didn't realize this at first. When I was in my house, it was still purple, but it immediately changed upon stepping outside of my house.) As I mentioned, lotion works better than spray - the ones I cover with sunscreen lotion tend to get pretty clear, but spray sunscreen stays a very light purple - hence why the four stars. (If they can improve the technology to respond better to spray sunscreen, I would give it five stars! Although, maybe I should reconsider using spray sunscreen...) That is also important to remember for the level of UV protection - a sunscreen with a lower SPF will never turn your spot fully clear, you need at least a 40 to see that protection (and that is what doctors recommended anyway.) Once applied, my spot never returned fully purple - it would gradually become more of a deep magenta, but again, perhaps it was because I was reapplying. In any event, a great purple for those of us who tend to burn under the rays of the sun!
