It’s a beautiful Ugly Stick!
How can you go wrong with an Ugly Stick? You can’t. This is a solid rod and reel configuration. It is stout and sturdy, yet has a sensitive tip for those persnickety nibbles. It casts well, holds a lot of 30lb line, has a solid feel and steady retrieve. Nothing not to like here. And the price?…well, like I said, nothing not to like here!

Don't let the name fool you. It's very pretty
The one and only Ugly stick. I've owned them for over 45 yrs and the only time they break is when I slammed a door on the tip. Even then you can get repair kits to make it right. I had a 33" striped bass on and was able to get it in the boat. There are more expensive rods out there but that's have always been a reliable pole.

Reel Stripped
This setup was recommended for use with folding blue crab traps. The reel only lasted a few trips before stripping out. Not recommended for this use.

Just half rod!!
The reel and the rod looks good, but I think there's a problem with Amazon shippings or something like that, I received the reel and the half of the rod, twice!
