This fit my Nikon lens PERFECTLY! Before ordering I researched to see what size my lens needed and looked on Amazon from there. It arrived today and clicks on for use, and clicks on backwards so I always have it with me, even if I am not using for that particular photo.

I am a repeat purchaser of JJC products and have referred others to their product line. I replaced the Nikon lens hood that I lost with this lens hood, and it works great.

Nice perfect fitting hood. Easy to put on and reverse the lens hood to stay on the lens when not taking photos. Fits on with lens cap and lens filter on the lens. The cost is a fraction of what a Nikon lens hood costs.

Fits perfectly on my Nikon 50 to 250 lens, compact but does provide shade for the lens.

Most aftermarket lens hoods for the DSLR Nikkor 18-55mm VR lens are cheap plastic and they stop at 20-22mm so you end up with "vignetting" with your lens at 18-20mm. I carefully matched this lens hood to the appropriate 55mm Nikon lens hood product SKU and it works perfectly. This is a metal lens hood that is compact so it not only allows you to fully zoom out to 18mm and not have vignetting but it is solid material and easy to carry in your bag and attach. I have a Nikon D3200 DSLR I use and this lens is able to screw into a 55mm UV lens cover without issue.

The item is poorly made. It is not symmetrical and the alignment dot does not lign up w camera. Returning it for refund since I am not sure if a replacement would be the same???

A very helpful review from 2023 illustrated that at that time the LH-HB112 hood for the Nikon 12-28 was the wrong shape (petals too long) and caused bad vignetting. As of the date of this review (Sept 2025) the hoods JJC is sending with the same part number have a corrected design that now nearly matches the Nikon design and no longer vignettes. Note that also as of this date the Amazon product photo is still of the old too large design, but if you go to the JJC website it shows photos of the new corrected design. So hurray! The LH-HB112 now works just as well as the Nikon version. And for that matter as well as other JJC hoods I've used in the past which have always nearly matched their OEM versions. Not sure how they got it wrong initially with this one, but as of now at least it works great on the Nikon Z 12-28 DX.

Pretty much a copy of the Nikon. Had to really twist hard for the stop to engage but it did snap into place although I did fear I might break it. Once engaged initially, it now goes off and on normally. Have not attempted to fit in reverse yet.

純正のHN-40を使用していましたが、プロテクトフィルター(MARUMI EXUS レンズプロテクト MarkII)がフードの前側に装着出来ず、レンズとフードの間に大きな段差が出来てしまい不格好でした。 しかし、こちらの製品はフード前面にフィルターを装着出来るので格好も良くなり、装着時の寸法もわずかとはいえ薄くなりました。また最広角側にレンズをセットしても、ケラレは認められません。 唯一の難点としては、前面に2箇所小傷(画像12時と5時付近)がありましたが、実用品なので使っていくうちに傷も付くでしょうし、値段相応ということで納得しています。
