I bought this for a read for a family member and they said it was an easy read and had great graphics. It came on time and was exactly what the description said. It was worth the price!

This is probably the best teen titans in this series yet
This is probably the best teen titans in this series yet. I liked that Red Hood & the outlaws make an appearance & so do all the rest of the batman "family".

Uneven Collection
This was a very up-and-down collection. I should note that the information above is incorrect and that this is not issues 14-20 of the Titans. Rather, it's issues 0, 15, 16, and 17 of the Teen Titans, issue 16 of Red Hood and the Outlaws, and issue 17 of Batman. I should also note that both Superboy and Skitter were missing from the collection, with their absences unmentioned and unexplained. The first issue in the collection, issue #0, is essentially a retelling of Tim Drake's origin story as Red Robin. The story was interesting, particularly in how he was on a mission to become the next Robin, working to discover just who Batman really was, attempting to hack his systems, and ultimately forcing Batman to take him on with a rash act that simultaneously endangered him and his parents. It's an interesting premise and one that was new to me. It does require some suspension of disbelief that someone could be both that smart and that stupid at the same time, though. The next issue, issue 15, "Teen Scream," is the real start of the Death of the Family series with the Teen Titans, opening with Batgirl swinging in as she's been summoned by the Titans when they discover that Red Robin has gone missing. Batgirl is able to give them some leads but then moves on, since she's got her own Joker problem to deal with. Joker, of course, has an ace or two up his sleeve when dealing with the Titans, which has the issue ending in a cliffhanger crossover, as Arsenal and Starfire show up from Red Hood and the Outlaws just as matters are getting out of hand. Next we have Red Hood and the Outlaws issue #16, "Family Matters," since that continues the action from the Teen Titans crossover. I don't think it's much of a spoiler to reveal that the two teams handle the threat but that still leaves the overarching problem: where is Red Robin? After all of this setup, the action moves back to Teen Titans issue #16, "Gotham Runs Red," where we finally see what has happened to Red Robin and Red Hood. Joker has them and he has their fathers. In his usual sick way, he has given them a choice: one of those men must die and they must fight to determine which it will be. The two Reds join forces and defeat the Joker, or think they do, but Joker has one final trick to play, which won't come as a surprise to anyone who has read the Batman "Death of the Family" issues. Note: Issue 16 also has some foreshadowing, in the form of the mysterious Lance, who has a run-in with Grey Lora and Basilisk, and Raven, who seems to have fully embraced her destiny as Trigon's daughter. More on these stories later, I'm sure. The "Death of the Family" story arc concludes with Batman #17, "The Punchline." I won't spoil it, other than to say that it's as violent and disturbing as you would expect from the Joker, and it has a far from triumphant ending. Finally, the collection concludes with Teen Titans #17, "Grey Matters: A Tale of Light and Dark," with new Titans artist Eddy Barrows. This is more of a segue issue than anything else: - A new villain is introduced, but only in another two-page foreshadowing. All we know of this villain is that he can apparently steal the powers of other metahumans. Speculation online is that this is the revamped Dr. Light. - The Titans get a new headquarters: a large yacht, courtesy of Red Robin. - We get a glimpse of Miguel's brother, Gabriel, of whom it's revealed that he's in a coma and that it may be a result of an action that saved Miguel's life. - We get a brief glimpse of another new unnamed villain, who apparently possesses deadly psionic powers. - We get a brief glimpse of Red Robin behaving completely out of character with a hint that something has been done to him. A final Joker attack? Stay tuned... - And we get another glimpse of Raven. Frankly, I wasn't particularly impressed with this collection. I know that they are trying to build up some longer story arcs and provide some good villains for the Titans to play off of, but at the same time, you need to balance all of this foreshadowing and all of these various arcs with some good action and/or good character building. Unfortunately, both were missing from this collection. There were some bright spots here and there, with some ingenious threats and solutions but there were also things that just didn't make sense. Why, for example, would the Titans trust boxes of a cure for the Joker toxin that were provided by the Joker himself? And who approved that ridiculous Raven headdress? I liked the first issues of the new 52 version of the Teen Titans but, based on this collection, I can't really recommend them anymore.

Nostalgia
I grew up on Teen Titans everything.....As an adult I sort of forgot about Teen Titans, I do love the Joker a lot especially in this story arc and I figured why not get one of the darkest to get back into the Teen Titans

Crossover casualty
With this volume being tied to the Death of the Family event it suffers more than most of the titles in being featured elsewhere. With their leader Red Robin taken by the Joker the team travel to Gotham to investigate, in the process teaming up with Red Hoods gang also looking for their kidnapped leader. The good part of the book sees Red Robin and Red Hood (Robin number 2 and Robin number 3) waking up and attempting to thwart the games that Joker has set up for them. The interplay between the 2 former boy wonders is the highlight here with Red Robin actually getting some character development, it's clear he actually likes Jason Todd and they play off each other well. All of the above issues were also featured in the Red Hood and the Outlaws Death of the family volume, aside from the a few pages of build up, we then get the Batman 17 issue concluding the arc, and issue that's in all of the Death in the Family cross overs. It ties things off nicely and it's a decent issue. By this point I'd read it in around 4 other books though. The volume does finish with a setup for the next story suggesting something strange is influencing the titans, but it's only really a teaser Overall while the content in here is fine, it's mostly something I've already read in the other crossovers which were released 1st. If you don't collect Red Hood there's a lot here for you. If you do, it's not much. Hopefully the 4th book will do something interesting to finish the series on a high as I believe the monthly issues are ending after issue 30 (which would take us to volume 5 collected)

Red Robin vs Red Hood.
Well this was probably one of the weaker parts of the crossover, while I like the art the quick fight between red robin and red hood is the more interesting thing here but hey if you need this tie in or a fan of the teen titans buy it. It's entertaining at least.

Joker twisted tricks
I kinda love this comic book mainly due to the showdown between the poor teen Titans and Joker's twisted tricks. One never knows what lurks up ahead when it comes to the Joker. It's amazingly good, the pencil, the script,it has no waste at all!!
