Principia Mathematica by Newton: Brown Lined Journal (Science & Exploration (Discovery))

I bought this for my daughter who is a senior in high school; recently accepted into a University. When I handed it to her, I told her that I wanted her to read the same and then immediately write a report for review. She protested, exclaiming that she doesn’t have enough time because of her current schoolwork load. I retorted that she could work on it when she wasn’t busy. Once she opened it up and realized that it was only a blank notebook, we enjoyed a hearty laugh together. She inquired if I knew it was blank and I answered, “I didn’t believe you would open it and look inside!” Additional joshing ensued.

The Principia Mathematica by Newton: Brown Lined Journal (Science & Exploration (Discovery)) does not contain any work of Isaac Newton other than the cover. Not a summery, Not a remark; Nothing to do with Newton's work. It is just an empty note book and should be described as such. Newton is known as a great scientist and mathematician. It is reasonable to expect some scientific writing in his journal, The Principia Mathematica. An academic journal, or a scholarly journal, is a publication that disseminates original research and scholarship within a specific academic or scientific field. Again this Principia Mathematica by Newton consists of blank. lined pages. Its description on Amazon is misleading.

Reviewers are expecting too much from this notebook. Clearly it’s a notebook. Cover feels delightful in the hand. Paper is good quality. I have bought several and love them.

So, like others I too thought this was a copy of the Principia, which it isn't. You know what, though? I think it is kind of cool, and I'll use it so I'll give it 2 stars. It does not seem "cheaply made" to me either. I think they really need to do something to convey the fact that this is a blank notebook though.

Excellent for daily notes

I bought this without reading carefully, mistaking it for a printed copy of the Principia by Newton. Turns out it is actually a notebook of blank lined pages. But as a notebook it’s not bad and the pleather cover is more durable than most cheap notebooks. In Newton’s honor I use it for solving the occasional math problem I run across.

It's EMPTY inside. It's NOT the Principia. Just lined pages. In other words,,, IT"S A NOTEBOOK. BEWARE!! It's, but NOT what it says it is. ( like I needed another notebook ).Uh huh !!! It says brown lined in listing BUT DOES NOT SAY IT"S JUST A NOTEBOOK

The book turned out to be a nice journal, I thought it was the book by Newton, so part of me felt misled.

This book is NOT A REPRINT. It is just a notebook with a very misleading description. For this reason it disappoints all expectations.

This is only a notebook with above displayed cover. Not specifically mentioned that it is not a book or copy of original journal of prinicipia. It is quite misleading information.

Interesting cover on a great notebook

Pensaba cuando lo compré que estaba comprando el libro de I. Newton. No se si fue error mío, o estaba mal expresado en la información, pero creo que deberían dejarlo mas claro, NO SON LOS PRINCIPIA MATEMATICA, SINO SOLAMENTE UN CUADERNO DE NOTAS. La presentación por otro lado es bastante buena.

I like the cover; it reminds me of a great book by Newton. This is NOT the book by Newton! It clearly says "journal". In other words, a notebook! I answering to PROF. SANJIB ROY - If you think the title is misleading then I wonder what kind of Prof you are! JOURNAL! OK? JOURNAL!
