Works fast!
My 21 year old maine coon cat tore her acl and ended up not being able to poop for 2 days. She was moving way less and probably not drinking as much water as usual. She was also on pain medications so all of that combined is probably what led to her constipation. I could tell she was uncomfortable just by how she was positioning herself and not eating as much. I gave her 3 small drops of this with her dinner (she is only 6 lbs) and she had a bm that same night! I still continued to give it to her as directed for the next couple days and she continued to have good bms and looked way more comfortable/got her full appetite back. It’s pricey but it works! I’ll continue to use it as needed.

Effective, rapid acting.
My 6 yr old cat Shrek is a 25 lb chunker. I got new flooring in my house and the stress caused Shrek to be constipated. He was leaking wet stool, and his poor body was writhing in pain. He would not take the medicine in his food. But at $40, I wasn't about to take no for an answer. So I used the dropper and gave 0.5mL right in the side of his mouth. He hacked it down. This was right after I gave him a bath as he is too fat to clean his butt. Needless to say he was not happy with me. BUT... within an hour, he went downstairs and relieved himself. He curled up next to me and fell asleep. His body no longer being tortured. I am very pleased with this product.

Great for raw food feeders
I'm a raw food feeder to my four cats. The upside is they're super healthy, have GORGEOUS coats, and their poop does not smell! The down side is that the poop is really dry and hard and looks to ME that the elimination process would be uncomfortable. The Smooth BM fixes that. The poops are still very firm but don't look as if they would be uncomfortable on the way out. Poop still doesn't smell! The reasons for only 4 stars is that I bought some for my sister's cat, who is a Manx, with a bad case of megacolon. This did not work for him. I did find another product that is in the form of granules (called Lax-eze) that worked wonders. The other reason is that this stuff is stupid expensive for the amount you get.

This really helped my cat and my Vet approved of this product
I rescued a little orange feral tabby named Charley, and he’s FIV-positive. For a while, he struggled badly with constipation, and even after the vet tried enemas and medication, nothing seemed to help. After purchasing this product, it took a few weeks to see a difference—but once it kicked in, the change was dramatic. I now add five drops to his food twice a day, and Charley reliably goes every day. Our vet reviewed the ingredients and immediately agreed it made sense—“fiber, fiber, fiber”—and recommended that we keep using it. As a bonus, Charley has become noticeably more comfortable with us; he now lets us pet him and groom him. It honestly feels like two miracles in one.

Works
Why is it so expensive ?? It works well. No need to charge so much. A lot of people won’t pay it. Lower the price and many more will buy it. That’s what you call GOOD sense in marketing!

this one didn't work for my cats...other pet well being products have worked well though
doesn't seem to work and the flavour is not well liked in every cat i've used it on. this brand makes many helpful products which i have loved the results of even though my cats have never liked the flavour(s), but this did not seem to help constipation at all. i've read 1/4 tsp of organic cold pressed hexane free castor oil twice a day orally for 2 to 3 days is supposed to work, so will try that next time. Seller contacted me and offered me a full refund on this product, I didn't know about or had forgotten about the quality guarantee. I've purchased many items from petwellbeing, especially renal/kidney care, comfort care, and some others which the names escape me at the moment and have been satisfied with the results, so never complained or asked for a refund......I only wrote this review because I wanted to others who might have tried this product on their kitty kat to no avail to consider trying the castor oil. also, a pinch of ground psyllium powder in wet food daily can help those kitties who regularly need help. last resort is an enema, hopefully no more kitties will need those and these natural remedies will work for all and be used as needed.

Life saver!
My poor kitty has been suffering through constipation for months now. She ended up having to have an enema and be put onto a high fiber, prescription diet. While the fiber got her body to start moving, the poop coming out was still so hard and dark, so I started giving her miralax(the prescription recommended was so expensive and also didn’t do a thing.) unfortunately, it didn’t seem to work, she was only pooping little tiny pieces every day. So, I looked around and ended up finding this. It had so many popular reviews. It is a bit pricy.. I was concerned about spending so much and getting no results. But I didn’t want my poor prissy to suffer any longer. So, I bought it. Absolutely my best decision. I will say, this is not a cure all. If your cat has not pooped in days— or worse, WEEKS, this will not help, they need medical attention. However, If your cat is just fighting constipation as a chronic thing, and they don’t need professional help; or the prescription you have didn’t help, this might be for you! Prissys only been on it for a few days, but it’s already given an amazing affect. She pooped more today in one go than I’ve seen her do in a long time. And best part is she didn’t strain, and the poop wasn’t hard or dry, it was as if she didn’t have constipation in the first place. It’s such a relief to see her feeling better. I highly recommend this as a an option, however please do consult with your vet for other options first, just in case the cause of the constipation is something serious. While this isn’t a cure al, and it may not work for every animal, I would absolutely recommend you give it a try.

This stuff is worth it's weight in gold!
I've had my kitty Blackie for about 5 years and in that time he would have periodic episodes of vomiting and abdominal cramps which ended after he pooped but took anywhere between one and four hours. The vomiting threw me off so I didn't realize it was caused from constipation. The vet obviously couldn't figure it out either because the meds he gave us didn't work at all. The last episode he had he became compacted with poo. He wouldn't eat or drink for days. By the time I was able to get him to a vet they had to put him to sleep to get all the poo out. This vet gave me a huge bottle of laxatives that I was supposed to give him every 8 hours. I didn't like the idea of laxatives because I know they can become addictive and the amount I had to give him was ridiculous. So I did a search for a natural remedy for constipation in cats and found this. I've been giving him .25 mls (5 drops) twice a day for a week and so far he's pooping like a champ. He was already showing signs of constipation just a day or two after returning from the vet but since the Smooth BM they are completely gone. This stuff is amazing and so much less traumatic for him than what the vet gave me. I can't say he's a fan of the taste but I just give him a few treats after his dose and he's good. I'm thrilled to have found this wonderful product.

A great help with my 22 year old cat's constipation
Been using this for my 22 year old cat now for about 18 months. She used to be badly constipated and only did nuggets of pooh about size of a baked bean and rock hard. Now she does good finger size poohs, still hard but not as hard as before. Looses 1 star as the bottle can be leaky as when shook the liquid gathers inside lid which drips out when unscrewed.

Id like to help with how i give the drops
So your cat maybe a problem eater and find it hard to give the drops oraly to them this tip can also just help with how they eat wet food if there picky or cans of wet food dont stay fresh long enough . I got a cheap handhelp blender a big plasic cup to blend in and 3 small mason jars to hold the blended food with maybe 100 mills of water to puree the food. Then freeze 2 of the jars to keep fresh and the other 1 in the fridge. I use to give him those sqeeze treat till they gave him blater issue . Be careful of those things. but now he thinks the wet food i pureed is a treat now cause they have same consistencies. well thats likely more cause i say you want a treat when i give it to him haha. I felt so bad when i had to stop givung him treats and change his food. So u found a way to keep my little guy happy.. anyways hope this helps . So how I apply the drops is take a teaspoon of the refrigerated. Food we just made mixed four drops and I do that twice a day do not mix in the jarred food it will coagulate the food that's rendering it no good and will upset your cat's stomach I learn this the hard way. So learn from my one mistake luckly. May also just have been because it was his first time taking the supplement. So maybe start small with one drop to two drops and work your way up to four twice a day depending on the size of your animal or breed read the instructions for your specific animal size this is for 13 lb tabby
