Purchased these as a "mini" lock for my city day pack whilst on "City Breaks" to deter any opportunistic theft. They work great to secure the two ends of the day pack zip to prevent the zip from easily opening up; the "orange" lever in the middle of the carabiner acts as a simple lock to prevent the carabiner from easily unfastened. Please note that these s-shaped carabiners are quite small so fitted the day pack zip perfectly; the orange colour lever is even smaller ..

For the price I'm impressed with the quality of these clips. They seem well made and I intend to use them to hold the tags on my dogs collars. They are certainly stronger than any split ring I've had.

I got these to try to prevent squirrels getting the tops off my squirrel proof feeders, random I know, but they work a treat!

Pretty much what you'd expect. The locking mechanism does get softer and more loose with use.
