Is the rounded tip of the serrated knife sharp?

No it is not sharp on the rounded end. I absolutely love this little knife for tomatoes and small baguette breads. It does a very nice job.

Probably that's where just about everything is made now.

Is this knife, end to end, really sixteen inches long?

NO! It has a 4 inch blade and a 4 1/2 inch handle. Total is about 8 1/2 inches. But I absolutely love this little knife for tomatoes. Nice sharp serrated edge!
