This is a great product to store any medications that need to be refrigerated when traveling. Best of all it’s TSA approved.

This was our first time to travel by plane with medicine that needed to stay cold. We read all the USA TSA rules and procedures for carrying medicine and we had no problems. We informed the TSA officers (at two, very large airports) before placing it in a bin and had no problems. We experienced the same plastic insert swelling after freezing. We left it on the counter for 15 minutes and the medicine, one-Trulicity pen, fit well. That’s another reason why we got the soft-sided case. I thought it would adjust better to the plastic insert, if it did swell. We depended on this soft case medicine cooler for 13 hours of plane and car travel. The approximate plane/car/hotel air temperature was around 70 degrees F. When we arrived at the hotel, the medicine was cold enough to pop into the mini-fridge. Yes, the medicine was not as cold as it was at the start of our day, but it was not warm. We froze the plastic insert again before heading back through TSA to head home. Same process with TSA and no problems.

We bought two of these in which carry our diabetes injector pens for flying to Europe. We have used them 3 times now and couldn’t be happier. It will hold 3 pens, so if you need more, you will either have to buy a second bag or a bigger case.

The description says it will hold up to 5 lantus insulin pens...NO WAY! Maybe 3 if you are lucky.

I used this on an 11 ½ hour flight and the case with gel cooling tube worked perfectly. It was easy to freeze the cooling tube and my injection pens fit inside the case without issue. My injectable medication stayed cold until I arrived at my destination.

Carry my epi pen in this all summer. It has help up well and hold 2 pen with the bottle. I like the soft one better than the metal ones because it holds 2 and has a caring strap. I had also gotten the metal one, it did NOT hold 2 of my injections or 2 epi pens soft case does hold 2 . Wish the ice bottle had something to insulate it from the shoots, but I do recommend it

My daughter is a type 1 diabetic. We've been searching for different products that could help keep her insulin pens and vials cool while traveling and during emergencies. The first thing I noticed was that the case appears to be made of decent quality and durable materials. The ice pack slides out of the bag easily, and only takes up a small space in the refrigerator. The time may vary on how many hours the ice pack will stay chilled depending on the temperature. I'm not sure how long it will stay cool in the summer or if left in a hot car, but it will definitely stay cool for a few hours at this time of the year in our location. The negative about the soft case travel cooler is the size. It will only fit a couple pens or vials at a time. It won't work for longer trips if multiple vials and pens are needed, but it will work for short trips. This will be especially useful when we go on a weekend getaway to the beach during the summer. The ice pack will fit in a hotel sized refrigerator. It is easy to clean, and I did not notice any visible leaks. We just need to figure out when it will be safe to put her insulin in the case with an ice pack without it causing the insulin to freeze as it will become ineffective if this happens. Insulin is far too expensive to be ruined, so I definitely don't want to freeze the ice pack where it will be too cold.
