works with a little planning
i have had these take care of pocket gophers for a good long while, and i have had them fail to stop the burrowing. it kinda depends on how well you can stop up the other holes to keep the smoke in the hole. i found that if you can get it lit past the fuse, then drop it down the hole, then get a scoop of dirt on top of it to contain the poison underground it works well. i get to practice whenever the nearby golf course exterminator does his thing over on the greens...i probably eliminate some and send the rest right back to the third hole.

Works well if you can catch them in the area
These worked well to dissuade the little guys from coming into my yard. It's not as satisfying as traps, but with a gentle fan to blow the smoke down the holes it seems to really work well. It's super easy to light and there's a lot of smoke to them.

Work for control of prairie dogs
They are digging around fruit trees and killing them. Tried other things - fill the holes, chase them. When I see one and it goes down the hole, I drop one in, cover with a sheet of heavy plastic and dump dirt to seal it in. One stick might not be enough for the main burrows, but mine seem to be satellite holes they use for safety. I can't be sure they aren't escaping elsewhere, but I'm seeing much less activity.

Seems to do the perfect job! I will be posting again in about one month from now to see if the mole came back! Updating post: 30-jun-17: After 2 weeks of using more than 6 gas bombs on fresh new holes (with and without the reverse vacuum) nothing stops this moles! At The beginning of putting the first gas bomb, the product itself seems that would do a great job! Lots of smoke filling all the near ducts of the mole! But after a week or so, several near new holes are in the yard! Put the gasbombs on the new holes, and the only thing that seems to work is that the lawn dies on the spot of where you put the product! Jus yesterday put a new gas bomb on a new fresh hole, and today, a new home came Out just inches from the yesterday one!

They work!
These work! Gophers I can and do trap successfully. Moles plague me and traps are not very effective. These work! It may take more than one tries, but I get them. I shove a gasser into the tunnel and blow it in with a leaf blower so they can't outrun it or plug the hole behind them before it gets to them.
