Trusted Brand and Works Great
Had to replace my old powered 8db gain per channel Splitter( different brand) due to power failure surges. I live in a rural area. I went with this 7.5db gain per channel Splitter(close enough). This is very sturdy, seems to be well made. Has a little weight to it which surprised me. Very easy to hook up and works well with no loss I can see. Also, had to replace the 28db PreAmp( different brand) at the antenna. Used the Channel Master adjustable 17 to 31db gain PreAmp. Even set at the low end I am able to pick up about twice the amount of channels during a scan. Picture very sharp and clear. Very pleased with these units and Channel Master.

The darn thing actually works!
I live in the mountains surrounded by trees. I have a good digital over-the-air antenna, but I live far away from most of the TV signals. Mountains, Trees, Distance. If you want to kill an over the air signal that's how you do it. I've tried a half-dozen of these booster things with virtually no benefit, and honestly I was hesitant to buy another one. I'm familiar with the Channel Master brand, so I rolled the dice and decided to give it a try. I was ready to accept failure once more, and was startled that my reception increased by 40%, maybe 50%! Signal strength for existing channels and I'm now receiveing channels that I didn't know existed. I changed nothing with my antenna or conditions. I simply added this to the antenna line that feeds three TV's and plugged it in. It works great! I'm very surprised. Now I'm an electrician so installing this was easy for me, and in reality if you have an electrical outlet that can be used to power it, and are capable of attatching the TV co-ax cables, this is an easy installation. If you need someone to help you, don't hesitate, it's an easy install for someone who is versed in such things. This is an easy 5 stars. I'm still surprised and very pleased at how well this Channel Master Booster works. I didn't think it could be done.

OTA reception problem solved
First, Iโm not typically a high rater. To get 5-stars do something to knock my socks off. 4-stars means good. Iโm close to 5-stars, because Iโve been fighting over the air broadcasting for about 9 years now. I only live about 6 miles from the broadcast towers, you would think I shouldnโt have an issue. I have 4 different antennas, 2 of the flat plate type and 2 of the older traditional aluminum shaped ones. None of them work in of themselves. One of the aluminum ones came with a small usb-powered amplifier. I have 1 station that refuses to play nice; 1 I can get no matter what antenna I use, and 2 that I can get pretty okay with the better antennas. I will note that my antenna are in the attic, not outside and that does contribute to the reception issue. I was sort of getting the problem station on the usb-powered amplifier for about 6-8 months; occasional pixelation and loss depending on weather. Then it quit altogether for no discernible reason. I saw the reviews on this unit but the price was a little higher than I wanted to gamble with previously, when it was sort of working. I finally bit the bullet and put down the money. Well, it does work!!!! All stations come in nicely now. We will have to see if this is another short term solution or not. Hopefully the cost is justified in the long run. I got the 4-port version and Iโm running 2 tvs on it (not at the same time). One tv is about 40-50 feet of coaxial, the other about 25ft. 4-stars, IT WORKS!

Works great.
I live in a rural area 90 miles from the TV stations. I have a large antenna with pre-amp on a 40 ft tower to pull them in. 75% of the channels were completely perfect, but a few (namely Fox who always seems to operate at half the power of others and always seems to conflict with another nearby Fox channel) were borderline or poor. I had a 3 way spiltter that I replaced with this distribution amp and it helped to settle reception on some channels due to the boost (not half power Fox though). It also - depending on weather - allowed pulling in some side band stations. Overall, happy with the product and performance. Via my TV diagnostics my signal to noise ratio was only 15-17 with the TVs automatic amplifier running at 50%.. After I installed this, my signal to noise ratio improved to 18-22 with the TV automatic amplifier down to 30%. So real results in a difficult long range environment. It additionally filters out interference such as 5G which is a problem in my area, this device solved that part completely.

A great replacement
After my PCT 4-output amplifier died after 15 years of service, I had to get a replacement....fast! Momma's gotta have her Inside Edition, and without an amp, my big UHF antenna isn't gonna pick up the VHF channel on which it's broadcasting in my area. This unit was a shoo-in for a replacement since it was nearly the exact same form factor as the dead PCT amp. The only difference was that the Antenna In and Power In were swapped around. Not a big deal at all. Plus Channel Master is a great name in the OTA business. Plus, my Antenna is a Channel Master, and I've been real happy with it for 15 years as well. My amp is installed in a protected area outside, about 12 line-feet from the antenna. After re-crimping a few of my failing RG-6 cable connections, I swapped out the power supply for the new one and reconnected all the lines. A bright blue LED let me know that power was flowing. The verdict? Inside Edition!!! My marriage is saved! Later, I rescanned for channels on my TiVo and on my Tablo device and both picked up additional channels, so the amp seems to be pulling in more signal than the last one. Bonus! Bottom line? It's a very solid, easy to install box that I expect to get many years of service from.

Modest Improvement in Reception
Mediocre gains in performance. Still can't get some channels that are being broadcast in the same direction of others that are well received. I'm going to keep it as there is some performance improvement, but not as much as expected from Channel Master.

Need to install as close to antenna as possible and not just before the tv
To my surprise, it actually boosts the over the air tv signal quite a bit, it's a keeper!

Well worth the price
I live S//E of Detroit, Michigan and installed an attic antenna in November. I was getting 66 broadcast stations. The signal booster brought it up to 80 stations. There are many broadcast stations that I wouldn't watch but there's good core of about 40 stations to choose from. All are clean, strong stations. The booster was a very good one time purchase.
