These brushes are absolutely beautiful! They come in a lovely rolled bamboo carrier where they fit neatly into their own pocket! Each one of these brushes would easily be worth $20., and there are 8 of them - every kind of brush one would need for Chinese Brush painting - very large to very small for detail work. I can't wait to get them into the ink!!! May Pan is a wonderful artist herself, and I know she would only sell the highest quality brushes to her artist customers, so thank you, May Pan, for these beauties! Each one is wooden with varying sorts of bristles for a variety of painting or calligraphy. There are inscribed with lovely Chinese writing - unfortunately, I cannot read the Chinese, but it certainly makes them look authentic and beautiful. They came quickly, and were well wrapped for protection in shipping. Very happy with this purchase!

I thought these were wonderful brushes. Some of the brushes are a work of art in themselves and I just like looking at them. There is a brush to do most any type of Chinese art such as flower and birds, bamboo, landscapes, ink drawings, small and large calligraphy, etc. I just love to play with the brushes and paint on paper to create art. HMay has some lovely papers also. These brushes come in a very nice bamboo wrap. The brushes are economically and affordably priced. I am so happy I have these brushes to add to my collection.

It's not easy to find high quality Chinese brush bundles, but this HMay group of brushes is outstanding. I'd been looking at this bundle to buy for a while, I'm so glad I got it. The quality of the bristles in each brush is very high, all the brushes are well-shaped, full, and expertly crafted. Each brush retains its point and holds a good charge of ink. All the handles are well carved, balanced and straight. You'll find that these brushes "bite" the paper very nicely and accurately and will respond quickly to your technique. Whether for calligraphy or painting, beginner or advanced, this is a package that will perform and last. The bamboo blanket is very nice and conveniently arranges the brushes for quick access and carrying. Highly recommended.

I havent used all of those brushes yet. I have trued the medium brush. Pretty good so far. The price is higher comparing to those Chinese brushes in the market so i hope this set is worth it…I expected the set have included some information such as material of each brush, also suggestions for each individual used… The box looks nice outside but the inside was torn, bad quality. In general, i rate 3 star …!

Brushes and brush wrap arrived very securely packaged. I took the brush tip protectors off before photographing as I am about to begin the soaking process. I previously did not have brushes in these larger sizes, so I am excited to try them and hoping they will encourage me to paint larger. This is a very nice assortment of beautiful brushes, I think this would be a valuable purchase for anyone practicing brush painting or calligraphy!

What a great selection of brushes.. I wanted a large brush, thick and silky and holding a point and that is what is in the selection. The other brushes are different sizes from large to delicate with great points.. Awesome.. and I had asked a question and they responded quickly telling me what to order. Nicely packaged. Now my painting will have to be as beautiful as these brushes... I am looking forward. Right now I am just looking at the brushes and smiling.
