Gets good reception. Only complaint is that the mast is a bit flimsy....gets blown back pretty easily at high speeds. Not a big deal but not as stiff as other antennas of this design I've used.

I added a radio to my golf cart and this is what I chose for picking up local radio stations. I live in a rural setting and we don’t pickup radio signals very well in general. I was surprised that this worked just as well as our new car and truck. I even mounted it on the underside of our golf cart and we still get a signal. It’s plug and play. If I needed another, I would buy again.

Mounted this on my trailer/camper conversion. Reception is very poor. Both cars pick up a lot more local stations than this antenna. And this antenna was mounted higher than the cars are. One car has a windshield type antenna and picks up many more stations. I live about 10 miles from Louisville, Ky and it will only pick up one radio station. I even unscrewed my trucks mast and set it inside the threads (smaller threads) of this unit and it picked up many more stations. I may take it down, return it and order a better unit. Very, very disappointed. 4/5/18 Updated. After reviewing the description I learned this is for marine frequencies - not your typical FM radio frequencies. Though I can not rate it on how it picks up marine frequencies I can say I replaced the mast with a standard FM radio frequency length and it works wonderfully. Picks up many more music radio stations than either car stated in 1st review. The description should state this is for marine frequencies - the FM AM Boat Car had me thinking it was an antenna for the standard music FM radio stations. I didn't know there was a difference in the frequencies or how the antenna length affected which frequency it would pick up. Lesson learned.

I would definitely recommend getting one or more of these. They pick up every channel and crystal clear. Get yours now they are well worth it. I will be buying more when needed. Sincerely, Larry Collins.

Great antenna - i installed a radio in an old cooler and mounted this antenna to finish it off. I do wish it was easier to fold without tools; however, since it’s flexible, it’s not much of an issue as I don’t have to worry about it breaking. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this on a boat any day. Very pleased and it has great reception as well!

The antenna was easy to mount and worked well. However, despite being called a "marine antenna", I would not recommend it for marine use. The mounting stud and other hardware are not stainless. In less than a year, it's a rusty mess and will need to be replaced.
