Worked well. Care is needed when disassembling the case to prevent cracking the case or breaking the volume control. This is not the fault of the parts, though. I was pleasantly surprised to find the external part of the joystick included (not just the electronic component) as the old one had worn down long before it malfunctioned.

This worked well, specifically for the “New Nintendo 2DS XL”. If that’s your DS model, this is compatible. The replacement process was fairly easy following the steps on the iFixit website.

Feels great! My old circle pad was in bad shape but with this my New 3ds XL looks and feels brand new!!

Hard plastic replacement for the OEM rubber that's gone sticky. How it functions is completely fine, but the center stem part is ever so slightly off-center. It does slide along the bottom wall of the circle pad area so it might grind away at it a bit. It's not that noticeable by feel and still smooth enough for now.

Bought this for my New 3DS XL after my other started having stick drift. Works great so far! One thing to note is that it doesn’t come with the little plastic washers so you have to keep your old ones. Comes with some great tools that can be used for anything else you need to do with your 3DS. Great product!

so im a perfectionist and i wanted this stick to feel perfect, thats why im replacing mine, the main piece, the circle pad needs to be sanded down, a nail file does this perfectly, on the bottom edges of the grey piece where the very bottom touches the inner circle of the new pad, it needs to be flush so that it doesnt get caught in the slightest. its very easy take ur time and it can be perfect, no lube needed, keep original washers, but for refrence i took off the first washer when putting it back together

The joystick itself is smaller than the original and one of them came scratched
