Great Blue Glow, but 3 things to know...
This is a great filament. But there are three things you have to understand before you start to print with glow in the dark filament. 1. You need a hardened nozzle for your printer. Glow in the dark filament in abrasive, and will wear away your nozzle. Once or twice for small projects won't affect it too much, but more frequent usage will.. 2. The Firefly Blue and the green Filament look great and glow in the dark, but you have to increase the infill to get it to be a brighter glow. More Surface area also helps as well. 3. This filament is UV reactive, so having a UV flashlight and shining that onto the filament will cause it to become extra bright. Even a cheap basic UV light works well to charge the filament. I used this filament to print crystals for a DnD campaign, stars and planets for my daughters ceiling and they have worked well. It is a speckled glow however,, not a full pure glow,, so just a heads up on that.. they Even glow a little just from her ceiling fan light charging them. Overall, I am happy with Amolen's filament. It is easy to print, and was easy to use, adhered to the bed very well at 55 C and the blue color is great. Its a good value for the money and had a few tangles. But I also bought used and returned so that is to be expected but it wasn't a big deal.

I actually ordered set A, but I was sent B instead. There was some sort of goof up at Amazon because of low stock on A. I was not too bothered since I was interested in getting some GitD Blue filament, and the Tri Color Change Lava sounded interesting. First thing's first. You have to get your slicer settings right for these filaments. My attached photo shows temperature towers going from 220C to 180C, bottom to top. Left-to-right are the Tri Color, GitD Blue, GitD Green, and Marble. I had a lot of stringiness above 210C. The odd waves seen in the picture at higher temperatures are partly an artifact of Octoprint going back to the center for photos, so ignore that. The TriColor had some serious issues when it got too cold, but 200C seems to be right for my Prusa i3 MK2S. Also, I measured all the filament with calipers, and they seem to be 1.71mm. After changing this in PrusaSlicer, it looks like my prints are coming out much better. I like the fact that these come in smaller spools, especially for what I would consider novelty colors. I am not a frequent printer, so I don't go through large quantities. Regarding the GitD Blue, you need to manage your expectations. GitD Blue glows much dimmer than Green. I knew this ahead of time. Still, it is a pretty blue glow. Regarding the GitD Green, I suspect it is using zinc sulfide as the phosphorescent pigment. It makes a good green color. I have a GitD Green from another manufacturer that glows brighter and has a slight bluish tinge (probably strontium aluminate for the pigment). The difference could also be due to the amount of pigment present, but that is something I cannot measure. Anyhow, more GitD pigment also means that you might be ruining your brass nozzle quicker (there are a number of YouTube videos about this). I made a crystal print using this filament (time-lapse video attached) with a bright UV LED to keep it charged up, and it looks pretty cool. Print was clean. Marble ... I don't know how much of this I will use, but it printed fine. I was getting the set mostly for the other spools, but it is good to have this in my back pocket in case I want it. Like most "marble" filaments, it is more of a flecked/peppered look as opposed to swirly marble. The Tri Color Lava is pretty neat. The darkest it gets is a sooty charcoal. Watching the color gradient during a print is fun. I have made some geometric puzzles with this filament, and it is fun watching the colors change as it takes people a while to solve them. I suspect this is made using overlapping dark-to-light and orange-to-yellow pigments. It takes a fair bit of heat to get into the full orange range and even more to get to yellow. I am thinking this would be a great filament for electronics cases (especially for something like a Raspberry Pi 4) to watch for hot spots. Update: Added photo of what I suggested. I designed a RPi4 case (you can find it at prusaprinters model repository) and used the lava filament. Under load, the CPU was registering 64C. The transition to yellow was somewhere around 54C. You can clearly see the hot spots with this filament, which is pretty cool (hot?). This helped me design some better ventilation.

Best color integrity of any ORANGE filament!!
I've been on a quixotic quest to find 'The Perfect Orange' filament. I'd gotten so desperate that I didn't care if it was PLA or PETG or some ratty shoestring from the closet floor. Dozens of spools that looked amazingly orange in the bag...turned into some sickly pastel, amber yellow, fluorescent/hi-viz, or 'BaskinRobbins pink'-colored abomination on the build plate. This Amolen 'Pumpkin/Carrot Orange' PLA filament, however, is the the most perfect, honest, no-nonsense orange I've ever found. Its color holds true throughout from spool to finished piece. And my Bambu A1 loves it: it prints smoothly, is silky-shiny and feels wonderful to the touch. There's almost no post-processing work beyond pulling off the supports, and those come off very cleanly. I print mostly gaming minis, knife scales, jewelry and other small, detailed work. So far, with my .4mm nozzle, settings on 'Generic PLA', I'm getting phenomenal results! I'm going to try my .2mm nozzle and the 'Minis' setting on my slicer to see if the quality holds up. I'll update this post, once I have data.

Great glow filament with patience — nice color and easy spool design
I got this glow-in-the-dark PLA specifically for a Kurama (Naruto) print. I’ve tried Bambu’s glow filament before, but it was too light. This one hit the right shade and gave a much better look. I tested it with a Benchy following the recommended settings, but you’ll definitely need to tweak them a bit. I have a Bambu A1 with AMS, and I learned the hard way that glow PLA doesn’t play well with 0.08 — I had 5 failed prints before adjusting. Once I made the changes (thanks to some advice from ChatGPT), the prints came out really nice. The glow is solid — I haven’t tested it against UV yet, but even under purple/blue ambient light from the TV it was noticeable. Setup was easy: it worked on the AMS without needing an adapter, and I didn’t even finish one spool for my project. The spool itself is great — transparent with a built-in meter that’s easier to read than Bambu’s. Overall, it takes some patience if it’s your first time with glow PLA, but the results are worth it. I’d recommend it.

great value, hope to make it a staple in my collection
It's great! It's like a standard grocery store vanilla ice cream color. Delightful. Prints well, not too glossy and not too dull. It's a little brittle but forgivable. I hope it'll be back in stock. Wish the spool had a better end-holding system; the two holes are tiny and super close together, so there's frequent breaking when you're trying to tread the end of the filament in. Great value for the price.

The closest thing the spider silk. INCREDIBLE 💎...BUT...
As you can see in my video this Green Firefly glow in the dark PLA can print at __295°C__ without a problem (and without a fan blowing on it). Just amazing. The blue firefly is equally good and I've ordered it many times. In fact I played with them with my 3D printer pen and I was able to pull a molten filament as thin as a human hair and wrap it over and over around a pyramid I made of only these filaments. I felt like Spiderman or something. This stuff is on a completely different level than any PLA I've ever used and I don't just mean glow in the dark. I said "BUT" in my title. Why? Well despite this being my favorite glow filament (and i have purchased at least 100 different spools of glow filaments) with Firefly the glowing "firefly" particles can clog your nozzle AFTER you stop printing and let it sit hot so the crystals slowly sink in the liquid plastic inside the hot end and then coagulate at the tip like a clogged artery. If this happens because you had to pause the print for a while or something, usually just heating the nozzle up to 300°C will be the fix. But if the hot end cooled all the way down for hours or between prints, you might have to heat it up and use one of those needle tools to break it loose. The easiest fix in my opinion is to follow this very simple 3-step procedure when you're done printing or need to pause for more than a few minutes: 1) pause or end the print. 2) set the hot end down to about 60°C. 3) once you hit about 80C, reverse the extruder so you back the filament out of the tool head (basically a "cold pull" as it's called). That's all you need to do and it doesn't even take 1 minute. The 100% way is to just run 6 inches of non-firefly PLA filament through the hot end at 200C when you are done printing or need to pause for more then a few minutes. But my version of the "cold pull" has never left me with a clog that didn't burst open at 270°C and the other 19 times out of 20 it doesn't leave any clog at all. This might sound like a lot but it's very simple. And isn't it true the best things in life usually take a little extra work to properly enjoy? This is for SURE the MOST BRILLIANT glowing filament (PLA or any other kind) and that's a small price to pay. Unfortunately the price for Firefly is not small and there's no bulk ordering to get it cheaper. But once there is, I'll gladly by 4kg of blue and 4kg of green and actually any other color they do Firefly with. Oh and by the way, their Firefly style glow in the dark also happens to be the most beautiful and long lasting glow in the dark filament you can possibly buy. Do yourself a favor and buy a black light or UV lamp and you will have such a treat you'll wish you could comment on my review thanking me. Unfortunately you can't but at least you can click that this was useful because I would consider knowing the most physically remarkable and visually stunning glow filament to be very useful indeed!! UPDATE: I printed a plate full of stars and space stuff for my son's room. Since one of the stars was right in the center of the plate, i could run the print again without removing the various pieces. I ran it 3 times so the thickness was trippled. I then used some of that tacky glue you can get here on Amazon. It's the stuff for crafts that dries tacky so you can put things on walls and ceilings and in scrao books and move them around later. I put it on the pieces right on the plate (holographic plate for a little extra pop) and when it was dry i stuck them on the ceiling of his room and charged them up extra with my UV flashlight and his room light. Then at bedtime when u turned off the lights and he had blue and green stars, planets, satellites etc all over his ceiling, he was overjoyed. And the extra thickness to them means they glow for almost 20 minutes. And what did that memory cost me in materials? $2? If you try this technique please put a video of it in your review here and once somebody does that, I'll show mine. That way i know my effort typing all that out was worth it to somebody. 🙏

Prints great and love the glow
This filament printed really well with the generic PLA settings in my slicer. Can't wait to do it in even better. I was surprised to open the box and see how white the filament is usually there is a yellow or green tinge to the filament, but this is definitely white. Even the glow is a very stark white. I will attach three pictures. The first will be in room light. The second will be with a black light and the third will be with it glowing.

OK, But...
The filament is OK. Not great but not garbage either, just OK. PROS: - Multi color. - No issues with clogging, stringing, brittleness or adhesion. - Glow in the dark. - Did not have to dry it prior to use - Finished very well - It is PLA and flows like PLA CONS: - Colors are not as vibrant as one would expect - The glow effect really short lived. It might have been due to use of artificial light (500W halogen bulbs), but I got perhaps 2/3 of the advertised time. - The filament is gritty and gets a lot of attrition against the PTFE tubing potentially causing feeding issues. Had to restart twice due to feeding issues and the 3rd time only worked after moving everything around to keep all angles in the tubing as wide as possible (no other filament needs that). Final Thoughts: After several hours and some filament wasted I was very close to return it due to feeding issues. Won't rule out printing with it again, but not looking forward to it. In all likelihood wont be buying it again, but may try other filaments of this brand in the future. UPDATE: The seller/manufacturer reached out after my review offering to make it right. That is not my usual experience when receiving products below expectations and I appreciate the care with their costumers. For that reason alone I'm bumping up one star. I'm also increasing my likelihood of trying other of their filaments in the future. Adding a few pictures... One along with a scrapper made with Elegoo orange Rapid PETG. Two after 2 min exposure to 500w work lights (One of the colors glows much brighter than the others. Also the pinkish color that is not glowing is the same that I had issues with feeding). Additional thoughts: If a more pastel toned rainbow is what you are looking for then it might be the perfect match in terms of color. I wonder if the grittiness is common to the product or result of improperly storage at the warehouse.

Nachts sogar mit Beleuchtung
Wir haben uns auch ran gewagt an einen 3 D Drucker. Und haben uns logischerweise auch gleich mal verschiedenes Filament besorgt. Wichtig meinte ein Kollege wäre für mich zu Wissen, dass es PLA Filament sei und die stärke von 1,75 mm nicht übersteigt. Dann wäre alles soweit passend. Bestellt haben wir uns hier dieses Glow in the Dark Filament weil wir uns einen Baby Yoda also Groku drucken wollten. Funktioniert hatte das aber leider nicht! Vielleichtwaren die Einstellungen dazu nicht hundert prozentig. Aber es kam zumindest ein hakber Groku oder sowas ähnliches heraus! Und das hatte es tatsächlich in sich. Er glänzt am Tage in einem schlichten Blauton und am Abend wenn es sich vom Tageslicht aufgeladen hat, leuchtet es aus allen rohren... Sieht echt gespenstig aus! Das Filament lässt sich auch durch meinen kleinen Anet A8 sehr gut verarbeiten, ich war da doch etwas überrascht, zumal mein Kollege meinte das dies nicht funktionieren würde. Es funktionierte eigentlich sehr gut, jedoch bekam ich nicht meinen Groku raus. Wir hatten da nicht alles an Dateien wohl herunter geladen. Naja seis drum, aber der Effekt ist trotzdem gegeben und es sieht Hammer aus....

Prints well. Didn't need to change a setting from normal.
Prints well. So far, have had no problems with jamming or feeding but I have only printed a benchy. Is an off white colour in normal light but glows a bright blue when charged. Is slightly transparent as well so be mindful of that if you are wanting a solid colour.

Bobina difettosa
Probabilmente ho ricevuto una bobina difettosa visto che tutti decantano questo materiale. Provato con ender 3 avuto molti problemi di srotolamento del filamento ma soprattutto il materiale produce difetti durante la stampa che al passaggio del layer successivo compromettono decisamente la qualità finale. Purtroppo temo cambierò marca.

Der erste Eindruck, als es ankam, war gut. Es wurde vakuumverpackt in einer normalen Filamentbox mit einem kleinen Satz Druckrichtlinien geliefert, was immer willkommen ist Die Farbe ist sehr hübsch und sie leuchtet viel. Im Licht hält es lange. Das Filament ist von guter Qualität, es lässt sich gut drucken und verarbeiten. es ist gut abgedichtet und weist keine Feuchtigkeit auf Ich würde meiner Familie und meinen Freunden empfehlen, diese Marke zu kaufen Insgesamt bin ich mit diesem Filament sehr zufrieden. Ich habe diese Marke noch nie zuvor gesehen, aber sie wird auf jeden Fall auf meiner Liste vertrauenswürdiger Anbieter stehen! Nochmals vielen Dank für alles
