Very black indeed! Tested it against other very black paints that I have and it is slightly blacker than Turner's jet black acrylic gouache. As other reviews mentioned, and as mentioned on the bottle itself, touching it ruins the blackness. If you're using it for painting art, use it last.

I tried it inside a faux tree burned out area. It made the burn out look much deeper then it was. Very happy.

This is the best and blackest paint i’ve used on the market. It absorbs so much light it sometimes looks surreal. Highly recommended! This is the second time i bought this.

If you know about this paint, I'm sure you were looking for something specific at a reasonable price, and this is a GREAT option. It's not perfect but it's INCREDIBLE. The texture looks almost velvet and it absorbs SO MUCH light. If you're looking for this paint, then you know it won't blend well and there's no real variety to B.L.A.C.K black. The paint adheres well, though, even over the trial layers of other paints we tried and it still looks great! The only con is that if you touch it, that real deep black is gone... the oils in your hands immediately make it shiny. Just keep some extra around for touch-ups and you'll be good, though. My kid is in love and i think he might take this door with him when he moves out

This is as advertised, darker than other blacks, if used without a glaze or varnish. The clear glaze or clear varnish tones it down to the level of other black acrylics. Not a bad thing, but it then loses the original black depth.

When held at an angle or in bright enough condition you can start to see the edges which wasn't what I was expecting (honestly I was expecting it to be pitch black even in the brightest conditions), though it was still fairly dark. Other than that the price is fairly high for the amount you get although I can only assume that is because the material required to make it is expensive as well as it being over seas. Overall though not what I had in mind still very good and dark paint.

This paint was amazing!!! Closest paint to vanta black I have ever used! The paint does dry quickly and gives a matte and smooth texture. I did find that when I thinned it and airbrushed it the final texture was almost like velvet. It made the paint appear even darker than it already did. But be warned if you airbrush this on you cannot touch the surface or it will ruin the textured effect from airbrushing it. It hides brushstrokes very well, the size of the bottles are small BUT a little goes a long way ESPECIALLY if you you airbrush over regular black acrylic paint. Works well as intended, and value for money couldn’t be better!

This black paint is very black. . . as advertised. If you are looking for really black paint this should darken your day. Here's to all things with low albedo. If they improve the formula and make the paint even blacker they should name the new stuff "Event Horizon".

Great quality, I was expecting it to smell really strongly based on other people's reviews, but it's just like normal acrylic paint.

I needed a very matte black for back ground to do some tests with checking the reflected colour of glass. It definitely is very matte! Applied very easily.

It's an extremely black paint, even with brush painting (spray gun is better). It doesn't smell as much as people made out, and was easy enough to apply. Some plastic needed primer first. It needs PPE when using though due to particle inhalation risk. It is very fragile and any object painted with it can't be handled much without it losing the deep black, which I knew about but it was worse than expected. It limited the fun to be had with it.
