The master piano teacher chose these books for my young granddaugther because they teach the new comer to piano the way he knows will work for someone who has no clue of piano playing. These books (all of them: theory, piano pieces etc) work together to instill what is needed for a child to understand reading music and playing the piano with confidence.

Easy method for learning and practicing the piano
Great for an easy introduction to learning the piano. I like that it introduces the concept of using the right finger on the keys before teaching the note names. My kids did great on this book and it was easy enough for me to use to help teach them. I like that it goes together with other books in the series such as theory.
