I bought this because my work laptop always runs hot and, with summer fast approaching, I wanted to keep it from overheating. I have been using it for several days now and, even on the low setting, it makes a huge difference. I used to joke that the exhaust from the laptop was enough cook an egg, but now it is much cooler. No, the fans don't move air with the force a room fan does, but it isn't supposed to. It moves just enough air to cool the electronics without blowing stuff off your desk. And it is so quiet that the only way I know it is on is by the soft blue glow (I absolutely love the light!). I kinda wish it had an on/off switch and had the speed control on the front, but it is not a deal breaker. I just set it and forget it anyway. The adjustable angle is great. I found the perfect comfortable viewing angle. I use a separate Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so ergonomics wasn't a consideration. I'm so glad I got this. So is my laptop.

I noticed a lot of negative reviews from people who seem to misunderstand the design. The fans are not supposed to blow air directly into your laptop’s vents. If they did, they would just blast dust into your internal cooling system and clog it up. Instead, the fans cool the metal plate, which then acts as a heat sink to pull heat away from your laptop. Once you understand that mechanism, you realize how efficient this design is. Highly recommended if you want to keep your temps down without ruining your hardware with dust.

I grabbed this cooling fan because my older gaming laptop was basically cooking itself (and my lap) every time I played, and I really didn't want to spend a ton of cash. And you know what? It absolutely works! The fans move a solid amount of air, and my laptop's temps are way better now. I'm actually able to run my games for a few hours without it throttling or feeling like a stovetop. For the low price, the performance you get is genuinely great. It gets the job done, period. The major caveat, and the reason it only gets four stars, is the build quality. The plastic casing is super flimsy. When it's just sitting on my desk, it's fine. But the second I try to pick up the laptop and the cooling fan at the same time, the middle of the casing bows inward. It flexes so much that the plastic scrapes right against the moving fans underneath. It's an awful sound and obviously not good for the product. So, now I've had to make it a habit to lift the laptop off first, and then move the pad separately. It's a minor annoyance, but definitely a design flaw they need to fix. Bottom line: If you need a cheap, effective cooler that stays put on a desk, buy it. If you plan on moving your laptop/fan setup around a lot, just be prepared to lift carefully!

You get exactly what you need for a very low price. For a laptop cooler, there are two categories in my mind: -Budget (<$30) -- Lifts rear of laptop up and blows air at the bottom of it -Expensive (>$50 or even >$100) -- Seals against laptop bottom and forces air into base of laptop If you look up data on CPU/GPU temps with/without a laptop cooler, you'll find that just lifting up your laptop on a stand is often not significantly different than a budget cooler option. Often, the budget cooler can cost the same as a stand so... Why not? For an expensive one, you WILL see a bigger shift in CPU/GPU temps, but unless you are overclocking or running into thermal-throttling, why spend over 4x the price? I've tested this for a few days now and have seen about a 5 deg C drop in CPU and GPU temps, which is exactly what I expected from some online data. Personally, I do not think a bigger/more-powerful fan, or more fans, at a higher cost on a 'budget' cooler will make any big impact (please search yourself, this has been my observation). Pros: -Fan is very quiet even at max speed -Sturdy, adjustments are held well, base tabs to hold laptop are also plenty sturdy -Several Adjustment heights -PRICE -- this is a GREAT deal IMO (I paid <$20) -USB cord length is adequate to fit any laptop port Cons: -I wish the 1st angle adjustment from 'flat' was a little less, not a big issue -The total 'lift' of laptop on flat is a bit higher than preferred -Fan CFM is subjectively pretty low, but per my starting comments, this doesn't really matter much and I'd prefer this and being quiet over being louder -The 'phone holder', which is only a bonus anyway, doesn't fit well for newer phones with cases (I didn't care about this feature but should note for others) Any con here is NOT significant in my mind, and any of my comments are not things I'd expect at this price range. This thing is excellent for the money. If you need a cheap solution to cool your PC, this is a great option. I'd recommend it, and I'd buy it again!

Really like this cooling pad. The blue light looks super cool when it's on and the fans work great at keeping my laptop from overheating. Love that it has different height options too so you can find the most comfortable angle. The extra USB ports are a nice touch as well. Good quality for the price, would recommend!

Works well so fat but its a note book cooler not a laptop my laptop is larger than the base

Every laptop I've ever had suffered from frequent BSODs (blue screen of deaths) I'm guessing because of overheating. I've only had this product for several days and I've only had one so far (before it used to be several times a week). Before, I'd be careful not to open too many tabs in order to avoid overheating but with this laptop cooler, I can run two or three tabs now without any fear of BSOD. I highly recommend this product! I also love that it allows you to raise the cooler pad to allow for better airflow underneath. Which along with the fans, helps to better prevent laptop overheating. This product clearly, was very well thought out in terms of it's engineering (unlike a lot of products on Amazon). As you can see it has two foldable holders at the base to prevent the laptop from sliding down. Also the fans are large and the perforated holes are distributed all along the pad surface which cools down the entire bottom of your laptop. So you don't have to worry about aligning the vents of your laptop to somewhere specific on the cooling pad. Again I can't stress it enough how well engineered and thought out this product is. A lot of products on Amazon, I can just tell are not well thought out at all and doesn't take into account what product users might go through.

Used this for 3 years now, it's running just fine and is still as durable as it was on Day 1. Fan is sufficiently powerful to cool down my gaming laptop. The adjustable inclines are a nice flexibility to have, when your wrists get tired in one position

El producto se siente de buena calidad. Incluye su cable USB macho- macho para alimentar el ventilador desde cualquier puerto USB de tu laptop, y este lo conectas a cualquiera de los dos puertos traseros disponibles. El puerto restante lo puedes emplear para conectar por ejemplo un receptor de mouse inalámbrico, que va a funcionar sin problema. Por ello, con un solo puerto de tu laptop podrás tanto alimentar este ventilador y algún otro dispositivo. La velocidad del ventilador es regulable con una perilla en la parte trasera (junto a los puertos USB mencionados), y aún al estar al mínimo se siente que el aire proporcionado es suficiente para las tareas diarias que hagas (dependerá de tu modelo de laptop también, claro está). Personalmente no uso ni encuentro beneficio en la luz LED azul incorporada, pero dependerá también de cada quien y como la vaya a emplear. Por último, el soporte para teléfono es muy útil, y lo es aún más ya que se puede cambiar de lado si es que te llegará a estorbar. Lo único malo es que si tu teléfono tiene una funda algo gruesa o de uso rudo, lo más probable es que se la tengas que quitar si quieres usar este soporte. Puedo decir que vale lo que pagas por ella.
