GMO= "Genetically Modified Organism" A company calling an inorganic substance that is or derived from a mineral seems dubious to me and most likely cashing in on the Organic market. The questions to ask are: what is the source? What processing method is used. The Solvay method: Although this method of producing baking soda ash is widely used, it is also problematic because the chemicals used in the process are pollutants and cause disposal problems.
