The BEST vacuum sealed cannister. I own 4, now 5
*** Update *** I just bought a fifth cannister. This one will be for storing ground coffee. We have guests coming to visit, and my grinder can be pretty loud in the morning. I had the bright idea to grind the coffee the night before, so it would be ready to go first thing in the morning. Using one of these cannisters, it will stay almost as fresh overnight as whole beans. BTW, because these are black, there is no place on the can or lid to ID the contents with a normal pen or pencil. My wife made a couple of labels for me, black letters on white background, that I applied to the lids, so I don't mix up my coffees. Don't need them for the clear glass ones. Still really love these things. *** Original review 01 May 24 *** The title of this review sums it up. After buying an expensive expresso rig, I wanted a container that would REALLY keep my whole beans fresh. After a lot of research, I decided to give the Soul Hand a try. This was shortly after they came out, and the cannister was glass. Heavy duty, but still glass. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to store a second type of coffee bean (I blend Ethiopian and Sumatran). These two units have worked flawlessly. The only negatives I had were that 1) they were made of glass, so light could get to the beans, if they were not stored in a dark place, like a cabinet, and 2) they were not large enough to store an entire 1 kg (2.2 lb.) bag of coffee beans. Then, I saw that they had come out with metal cannisters. So, i bought two more. Two cannisters hold an entire 1 kg bag of coffee with room to spare. And, the metal cannisters means that now I can keep them out in the open on the coffee station, while the two glass cannisters remain in the cabinet. When the metal ones become empty, I simply refill from the glass ones. the metal ones solved my two negative issues perfectly. 1) They block the light, so they can stay out in the open for easy access. 2) They are very durable. Don't get me wrong, the glass ones are solid, as well. It's more of a 'peace of mind' thing. Also, the metal ones are easier to grip. The surface is textured, which makes them feel much more secure in the hand. The operation is the same - double tap the button to pull a vacuum, double tap the button to release a vacuum. Like the glass ones, the metal cannisters still have the little holder on the outside for the scoop, which I do not use for the scoop. since it simply fits inside the cannister pressed into the beans. But, the holder does make a nice little handle to grip the lid, when removeing. Also, the lids on these metal ones seem to grab the cannister better to pull a vacuum. With the glass ones, i sometimes have to press down on the lid, until the vacuum secures the lid in place. With these metal ones, I simply seat the lid on the cannister, making sure the gasket is not folded, push the button, and let it do its thing. The gaskets seem to grab the metal better, but I do not know if it is an improved design or just that the gaskets on the older, glass cannisters have lost a little of their grip. Time will tell, but it is not an issue, either way. NOTE: Some reviewers have reported that the pump on the cannister suddenly stopped working. Be advised that, if you long press the button (it is about three seconds on my units), then the mechanism locks and will not pump. IT IS NOT BROKEN. Just long press the button a second time, and the lock will release. It also gives a long beep, both when the lock engages and when it releases. How do I know this? Welll, I did the long press by accident, and I thought the unit had failed, until, by chance, I long-pressed the button a second time. I am sure it is in the instructions, but, who keeps those? Anyway. these are excellent vacuum cannisters, much better than those manual ones, or the ones, where you depress the lid to push out air (which is not even a vacuum). I use these cannisters at least twice a day, and the batteries last several weeks. They recharge in a couple of hours and use a USB Type C connector. I have found the mechanisms to be durable, and they absolutely keep my coffee beans as fresh as I can keep them in a home environment. Oh, and they look good, too.

FINALLY! A canister that does it ALL.
I had been amazed - that until just recently, “nothing” was advertised or sold that TRULY keeps coffee fresh. The Folgers and Maxwell House drinkers can ignore this entire issue. I am happy for you. But those who only enjoy the coffee bean in its finest hours, and have learned about the exquisite process of coffee - cherry to cup - have the burden of keeping fresh beans fresh, until you grind it for that wonderful taste experience. That experience is only unlocked when proper handling, roasting, and storage is painstakingly observed - and actively maintained. And storing coffee “wrong” (or inadequately) lets a great freshly-roasted bean begin go stale in a matter of hours. You also want to store coffee beans in the dark, to escape UV. Ok - most who care to, know that already. So here’s the good: This can vacuum seals the beans when you put its top on and press a button. BUT the action doesn’t stop there… As beans “sit” - they out-gas. So unless the canister you store your coffee in “monitors” the vacuum inside - and self-regulates it “actively” the entire time - the beans will STILL go stale rather quickly , (despite all that good intent). THIS CANISTER FIXES THAT automatically. When you want to open it up to get some coffee out - or to add more - press the button and it will release its vacuum so you can remove the lid. Voila!! Like many new gadgets, its battery power source is rechargeable via USB. BUT I am still operating on my first charge, after a month, so it seems to be adequately designed. I love this thing. I kind of wish it held 5 Lbs of beans, instead of about 1. But it does the job of keeping coffee beans fresh - perfectly. So It may change the quantity and/or frequency of your coffee buying - but it can make a huge improvement in the flavor you can extract from your beans. Even though others sell similar models for less - THIS is the better unit. I recommend it.

So far it does what its build for.
So far so good.. Hope its last longer than my previous JUEMEL Automatic Vacuum Coffee Canister. The vacuum motor died after just 6 months.

Worked for a short time. Company not responding
DO NOT BUY. This product worked OK for about 5 weeks. Now it's constantly resealing about once a minute. Company does not respond to emails. About a week past return window. NOT HAPPY.

The old version was great. Recent purchase is loud and runs alot
I been using the glass version of this coffee vac for 2+ years. It has worked fantastic and rarely runs the vac pump so I only need to charge it like every 3-6 months (never ran it to completely dead so maybe longer). Bought two new ones a a few months ago. One steel & one glass: they both run the pump many times a day and are much louder. I reached out to the company and got NO response. It is sad to see some type of manufacturing change create a worse product. Still works, but 2 stars for no support and worse product than they used to sell - oddly they look exactly the same. New one runs so often it has to be recharged more often

Worth the price.
I've had it for about a month now. It is still running on the first battery charge I did when I received it. The touch panel operates easily, one touch wakes it from sleep, then a quick double tap releases, or initiates the vacuum. It has a strong enough vacuum that you can't remove the lid once it has vacuumed down and shut off. Every time I have released the vacuum I can hear the hiss of the air entering so it is maintaining the vacuum over time. It looks well made, the canister steel wall is thick enough to maintain it's shape under vacuum. Assuming it continues to work this well, it is a good investment to preserve the flavor of your coffee.

Sturdy and Reliable – Love the Stainless Steel Design
I picked up the SOUL HAND Vacuum Coffee Canister after my old one (with a glass container) broke — lesson learned! This stainless steel version feels way more durable and gives me peace of mind that it won’t shatter with a minor bump. The vacuum seal works great, and I’ve noticed my coffee beans staying fresher longer. One thing I wish: they offered just the stainless steel container for sale. I didn’t really need the full unit again, just a replacement container that wasn’t glass. That said, I’m still very happy with the product overall. It looks good on the counter and does exactly what it promises.

Love this thing!!
Thing is fantastic! The can is a decent size to dig out beans with the scoop. Had beans just past the "expired" date. Got this. Threw them in. Still smell like they did when I opened the bag.

NB - 5.0v/2.0A Charger required Faulty manufacture
This is my second one and, unfortunately, highlighted a quality control check issue. It had a rounded bottom when the vacuum was released (but was flat on the counter when vacuum applied) and the seal was clearly a faulty seal. Especially when compared the first faultless unit. Returned. However, I will order a replacement because, they are so good when supplied as per design spec. They're a game changer for storing fresh coffee beans. Love them. I would give 5 stars but for it not coming with a charger (and the faults in this unit I received). They come with a USB-A to USB-C charge cable and is designed that the vacuum unit will not charge if your charger is a Fast Charger or the standard 3.1A charger. The unit requires a 5V - 2.0A OR LESS charge to allow charging. I had a 1A from a hearing aid charger and it takes nearer 5 hours to recharge with that (the manual says 3 hrs) The other trick is for other users (visitors), unfamiliar with the container, to not Long Press the power 'button' and turn it off. Overall, these are an automatic and effective vacuum canister, particularly suitable for fresh roasted coffee. I'll probably get a third to suit my rotation of fresh roasted beans.
