Purchased this camera during a lightning Amazon sale so had a good saving over original price. I had been reading numerous reviews on different indoor CCTV cameras and came to the personal opinion that for best quality you need a minimum of a 2 megapixel lens and 1080p quality. Looking at the positive reviews on this camera I decided to try it out. Delivery was very good arriving a day earlier than expected and the camera was well protected during shipping. The camera is of solid construction, discreet and very silent in operation following post set up... First thing prior to installation was to download the Eye4 app to my Samsung J5 which was a breeze from the Play Store. I then also downloaded the Eye4 software programme to my laptop computer again very easy. Set up the camera via WIFI three feet from my sky 2.4Ghz router and plugged in an already formatted 32GB SD card. .. The CCTV camera on being plugged in was then looking to connect with my phone which I placed next to the camera...no problem at all connecting within one minute. The footage on the phone is of excellent quality and within less than 30 minutes had easily worked out how to use it...(Instructions are reasonable straight forward and easy to understand) The lap top programme is also very good and after fiddling round with it for another half hour had it all sorted..You can turn the infra red night lights on or off via the lap top, you can actually zoom in via the lap top (as opposed to zoom on mobile phone by pinching the screen) You can set individual positions you can get the camera to turn to and view both on the phone and lap top. You can speak through your phone to the CCTV camera whilst out if you have any dogs that may be misbehaving. I am going to move this camera upstairs to a windowsill in the back bedroom overlooking our garden to see if it will still receive Wi Fi signal and record.. If so will be buying another one.. Very pleased with night time low light footage as well..extremely clear.. The main reason for buying was to view our dogs whilst we are out and it is obviously a very good indoor security camera and would recommend it to anyone .. Genbolt customer services (in particular big thanks to Vincent) are quick to respond and are very helpful..Hope this review was helpful for any potential customers thinking of getting this model....

This is the 3rd Genbolt CCTV Camera I have bought through reputation. So I already had the Genbolt app on my phone. I scanned the code and it asked to add and hey presto the camera and view appeared immediately on the App. The camera is very easy to install and so is the Solar Panel which powers my model. There are brackets and screws and plugs for ease of installation. I love how the camera can track or can be moved manually by simple controls again in the app. Mine covers my garden studio, but can move round so I can see every corner of my rear garden. The other advantage is we can monitor our 3 dogs out at play in the garden, NOTE: One of them sunbathing on the picture! Another advantage is the camera can be moved so easy to another location if need be, as it is wireless apart from its connection to the solar panel. The picture and video quality is very good. I bought this camera because I have two more Genbolt camera systems looking after my Driveway and also my Motorhome parking spot. They are professional looking units and act as a great visual deterrent. Highly Recommended.

For various reasons I've bought a 4 different Wi-Fi Security Cameras over the last few weeks. By testing these out I hope my following review provides useful information for people considering buying this GENBOLT Wi-Fi Security Camera compared with other similar products available on Amazon today. One major criteria when buying a security camera is resolution, a CCTV security device with less than 2.0MP 1080P resolution simply is not worth buying as you cannot really see things clearly which defeats the object especially if you want to capture the facial features of a burglar (recently I captured a burglar on an inferior 760P device, which was to grainy to capture facial details). The GENBOLT product has a good 2.0MP 1080P resolution which gives nice clear pictures so you can actually see what you are looking and capture facial details rather than a pixelated mess. The GENBOLT product provides much clearer image resolution than a CleverDog 960P Wi-Fi Security Camera, which at May 2017 retails for the same price, circa £50. Another selection criteria is ease of use of the software, many Chinese manufactured devices come with baffling support manuals and user interfaces that are badly thought out. Firstly, I found it easy to connect the GENBOLT Security Camera to my home Wi-Fi and the connection is very reliable. Secondly, the Pan Tilt and Zoom feature is easy to use and excellent especially when monitoring remotely from an iPhone, the zoom feature is not so good for close up as the picture becomes pixelated. Thirdly, the mobile application is not very user friendly, for example it is difficult to figure out the parameters to set in order to control the recording and retrieval of videos to/from a local SD SAN disk (which needs to be bought separately). So I docked a star on my rating for ease of use and hope that GENBOLT work on enhancing the mobile application that supports this product. Out of the 4 other security cameras I tested, the GENBOLT user interface was better and more intuitive than CleverDog 960P Wi-Fi Security Camera and UCAM247 Full HD Security Camera; but not as simple and intuitive as the Ring DoorBell Pro Security camera. In summary, this is well priced, the product is well made build quality and relatively easy to use with some great features. So it is a good product and I would recommend it for people looking for a low cost Wi-Fi Security Camera.

I had already bought one Genbolt camera in Feb 2022 and still working as good as when it was new. I was looking for a camera for my back garden as there was difficulty for a power connection availability.I looked at this solar powered camera checked the details and bought one a couple of weeks ago. I have been testing it nearly two weeks and could not find a fault. Easy to fit, easy to install.I had Genbolt App on my camera and this camera was added without any fuss. Picture quality amazing, tracking flawless, sharp images, and the camera behaviour can be controlled from the setting in the mobile app. I am reluctant to show the images around my house from this camera due to security reasons. The cable length from solar panel to camera is long enough as you can judge from the pictures. Solar panel is fitted on the side wall where sun shines most of the time. The reliability of Genbolt camera is very good as my 15 months old Genbolt camera is good as new one as I have mentioned above. No one can go wrong to buy this camera at this price. All the best.

BEST BUY EVER seriously! Takes 2 minutes to set up and very simple, picture quality is excellent, wide angle lens gets whole living room, hall and part of dining room into one frame. I got this to check on my dogs when I am out, and when I am traveling (and to spy on my dog sitters! 😀) and it works brilliantly. I have two cameras which together cover the entire ground floor so wherever they are, I can see them. It's easy to move the lenses remotely and the listen and talk features are crystal clear (although you cannot talk and listen at the same time unfortunately). This is going to give me massive peace of mind and be a lot of fun when I'm scaring the dog sitters! Excellent purchase, could not be happier!

Worked great for two hours- then disconnected and keeps asking for password- have tried even the default passwsord but nothing- nowhere to ask for password reset or assistance

Had this a little while now , located between two front doors , ideal to leave the outside one unlocked for post etc , as soon as there is movement it automatically sends me notification , if I’m home or out , so long as you have reasonable internet on your phone you can check instantly , with options to press a track route of if you want to fix the camera in one potion , I set one of mine as Home , so it I decide to look around , I hit Home and I’m back to my chosen location , image is superb great camera for price of mind . My one and only complaint about it was the power cable length , I had to purchase an extension , as it only comes with about 1 metre from the wall point , my plug was further , apart from this set up us relatively easy as I’m no expert with tech , even the manufacturer sent me an email once I’d set it all up and it was registered , asking if I was satisfied , I have been thinking about getting another one as it’s so good . This was my second try at a Wi-fi camera , I purchased another common make first , but after a week it kekpt disconnecting from my Wi-fi so got fed up with it and returned it to purchase this one , in my mind its well worth the few extra pounds to get a reliable product , very happy with this camera indeed .

Really pleased with this camera , straight out of the box , followed the instructions connected my phone to the camera very easily on the app. Screwed the securing plate in place and within minutes my camera was working perfect and in position. The camera can be rotated and position easy with the phone screen joystick. Great purchase . Would recommend!

Tiene muy buena calidad de imagen, el panel solar tarda muy poco en cargarla. Queda bonita y los materiales son de buena calidad. La visión nocturna es buena. El vídeo en HD, no siempre, tiene algo de retraso cuando estás en directo. En definitiva tiene buena relación calidad precio.

Nach 1 Stunde habe ich es aufgegeben! Das Gerät lässt sich nicht einrichten! Während der Einrichtung, nerventötendes "ding dong" jede 5 Sekunden. In sehr hoher Lautstärke! Alles 10x eingegeben, irgendwann mal war es gut. Die App gibt immer wieder ein "falsches Passwort" an, dabei ist es definitiv richtig. Verstehe nicht wie man die Kunden mit so einem Produkt konfrontieren kann, es geht sofort zurück!
