Seaflo 55-Series Diaphragm Pump - 12V DC, 5.5 GPM, 60 PSI with HEAVY DUTY PRESSURE SWITCH

Quiet, well built, feels like a little fire extinguisher. Nice big rubber grommets on the mounting bracket. Comes with a filter and some adapters but after fitting the filter on the in side, the threading let me stick standard hose adapters (the nipple with the little thread reduction inset you get everywhere for pennies) on both ends making this super easy to install. Wish i'd bought this first: Now, i had one of those small cheap pumps with the single chamber and that plastic V front/top that claims silly PSI. It had small diameter fittings and was kind of a pain to adapt to a garden hose. It just about ran the hose enough to water the garden from my water butts. I bought one of those irrigation kits. Little pump could run 1 or 2 of the little sprinklers then basically gave up. The sealfow 55-series, however, smashed it. Better pressure than my mains. I was so happy to see all the little sprinklers belting out water like they were supposed to. This thing works great and has saved the project. The only issue is i used cheap tubing with the small pump and this pump sucks hard enough to pinch the cheap clear plastic hose and kill the flow. Gonna rework the project with sturdier standard garden hoses throughout. Also, in all this abuse, pinched flow, air in the system and my water butts coughing up a small tree worth of crap under the new hi-flow... the little filter with the pump caught it all and the pump handled it all nicely. Also, even when choking due to the cheap hose pinch it wasn't louder than the little pump its replacing. It's 12v and can draw up to 17amp so decent thickness wire, a sensible fuse recommended. Given it out performs my mains supply i expect this would do a great job of running water for a caravan or boat which is what I believe its intended for. It's a serious bit of kit and unlike the clones the specs advertised are accurate. Wish i'd spent the money straight off to get the proper kit.

Works well from the box and seems robust and quiet. It is being used in an agricultural sprayer and it has more pressure and greater throughput than the old one so have had to dial back some settings. It comes with an inline filter so you don't need to purchase an extra.

The pump, when it's working, is great - however after a few month use it developed a fault where it would constantly stay on after use. No leaks in the line and installed correctly so was advised by the seller to adjust the bypass valve. I did this and the issue resolved itself - however - after another month the issue returned, I adjusted the valve again which fixed it for another month.... I have since contacted the seller who seems to be insisting I haven't adjusted the valve (at all) or that I did it incorrectly - I shouldn't have to adjust it from factory settings never mind every few months and I followed the instructions to the letter - and now they are ignoring my repeated requests for a return or repair. I'm sure these are good pumps and this is just one of those things but be aware, if you buy this pump from this seller and it develops a fault the seller will blame you for it.

This item arrived in the unqrapped retail box with details of the contents on the outside and my address details and postage stuck on as a lable. I dont mind that at all. What didnt like was the fact that someone in the delivery chain had got curious and broken the little orange sealing tab and not sealed it up after themselves. EIther that or the weight of the item had broken the tab in transit. Maybe a little stronger tab or tape will prevent this from happening to others. The pump works well, feels solid and was easy to install. It could be improved with some form of output pressure regulation - that may be possible but that isnt clear in the instructions.

Gives an excellent flow rate with good pressure. It's used to irrigate the garden using water from my well. Excellent build quality and comes with filter and hose connecters.

Works well, until it does not. After only 18 months use the diaphram leaked, causing water in the motor housing such that one of the brushes correded away and the unit stopped working.

Bought for widebeam boat. Excellent water pressure when coupled with an 8litre expansion vessel. Very suprised as to how good this is. Great build quality. Only downside is the connections are plastic and are 1/2” so care is needed when fitting. Highly recommend this unit for price. A lot quieter too than my former more expensive flojet unit.

I have downgraded my review here from 5 to 2 stars as after one year of use it became clear the bearings have water ingress and although it is still pumping water, it is very noisily and I feel it will not last long (impossible to grease bearings) I use this with a 12v car battery fed by solar pannel. It pumps water from a canal 2 meters away. I filter the water with two cheap sieves tied together (there is also a fine filter on the pump itself. The water is then pumped through 20 metres of hosepipe to water vegetables. Your hose should be strong or else it sucks in on itself. Mine is actually 3/4 inch hose. The pump is powerful enough to use with a sprinkler.

Envoi de l'eau sous pression sur 150 m deux filtres et deux clapets anti-retour, mais prévoir un suppresseur pour avoir un débit constant. Relié à une cuve en contrebas, c'est formidable cette pompe.
