Russell Hobbs Cream Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle, 1.7L

24 hours in and I’m pleased with my choice. I wanted black to match other pieces of kitchen equipment. This kettle looks the biz, pours well - no drips, isn’t very noisy, will boil just one mugful with useful easy to see gauge inside the kettle. It has a stainless steel interior, important for me.

Very attractive design. Looks great in the kitchen. Very quick to boil. We have used it continuously for 3 years. No problems.

Looks good and boils fast. I find the water level gauge not very easy to read, sometimes use a torch to check!

This kettle is amazing! The inside is completely stainless steel, which I really appreciate since so many models nowadays are made of plastic. The black exterior gives it a modern, elegant look that fits nicely in my kitchen. It heats water quickly, just a couple of minutes for two cups of tea, and it’s not too noisy while boiling. I’ve been using it every day and so far it’s been perfect for my needs.

My lovely Breville gave up the ghost, after 15+ years 😞 Bought this Russell Hobbs after spending stupidly long hours researching online. If nothing more, that helped me work out what was important to me in a kettle (I didn't know how demanding I was, I should get out more). I wanted a jug shape, but a shortish one that I could get under the kitchen tap when there's already stuff/water in the sink. I didn't care about noise (not that it makes much), I wanted a wee window so's I could see when it's coming to the boil and turn it off before it wastes unnecessary electricity. I wanted a hinged lid. It doesn't spring open like the Breville did, but I've learnt to live with that. I wanted a good pourer, and it's certainly that, more accurate although a bit slower (shall we say, more prim? 🤭) than the Breville. I like it, generally. I'd have preferred one that had the window on the side rather than half-hidden behind the handle, as this one is. But there you are. Despite the fact that the handle stops in mid-air it's sturdy enough and well balanced to lift. You may say, why didn't I just buy another Breville. I couldn't find my model. This was the next best, closest, thing, and we are rubbing along pretty well now. 😁 PS it has wee red flange things on the inside that I will never use, or see the point of. But as long as they don't drop off into my pot that's its business.... 🤷

Quality kettle

at £20 this product offers good value for money, its astatically pleasing, boils water very quickly, however, it is rather noisy and because of this its going to be relegated to the cupboard and used as a spare. I've now spent another £10 on another Russel Hobbs Kettle 20462 quite kettle which is what we had before this one. The only drawback to the 20462 kettle is the spring that is used within flip up lid mechanism has a very short life and tends to fail rather quickly.

The kettle is great, though the paint on the lid has chipped off over tip, so it's not in great condition any more.

Ordered black. It came as red instead. But its a v good kettle.
