I absolutely love these colored pencils! I am kind of an art supply snob, so I was worried these colored pencils wouldn't meet my expectations, as I usually get Prismacolors. However, they have exceeded my expectations! They are comparable to Prismacolors in my opinion! They are easy to sharpen, and the cores are quite a bit sturdier than Prismacolors, so the tips don't annoyingly snap every time I sharpen them or press a little too hard while coloring, like Prismacolors always do. They are MUCH cheaper, and you get so many more colors for the price. So, such great value for the price. I love the wide variety of colors, and the color on the pencils is pretty true to the core color, but I did do a little color test on a scrap piece of paper each time to make sure. The colors are pretty vibrant, even when shading lightly, and you can press pretty hard to make the colors deeper if you want. They are smear resistand and feel nice on the page while coloring. I was even able to erase them a bit in a few places to even out a few places where I was a bit too heavy-handed while coloring. I am just using these for adult coloring books, and they are definitely good enough for that, and for kids of course, and I think they would be great for more advanced/intermediate artists, too. The only slight downside is that the box they come in is pretty flimsy cardboard, and the plastic pans are also kind of wobbly, but that is to be expected at such a low price point. Overall, I absolutely LOVE!

I have been looking for a vibrant colored pencils for a long time, especially because brands like Crayola are very dull and you have to really push the pencil for color to come out, but I'm so glad I found this brand they are definitely premium colored pencils and they are extremely vibrant! Even just lightly coloring has enough vibrancy to be visible. I love how it comes in its own little case, and it would be perfect for putting in bags and stuff like that! I do wish it came with a sharpener like other brands do but it's not a problem at all! I highly recommend if you're looking for a colored pencils that are vibrant and don't require a lot of tension.

I got the 72 count soft core colored pencil set as a gift for my kiddo, who loves to sketch, and it was a big hit. I like that the pencils came organized by color, making them easy to find and use right away. I do wish they came with a tin or carrying case because the included packaging isn’t ideal for taking them on the go, so not very portable. The pencils themselves feel made from good material. The wood casing is smooth and sturdy, and the cores feel securely centered, so they don’t seem prone to breaking with normal use or sharpening. The soft cores blend well, lay down color smoothly, and produce vibrant results. I only found a few shades (boxed in red) that I felt could have been a little more saturated. Overall, this is a great quality set for the price and would make a nice gift for anyone who enjoys coloring or sketching.

Great coloured pencils for hobbyists! I bought the 72 count watercolour pencils after a horrible experience with another "budget" brand. I was so very pleased I really wanted to try their (Kalour) coloured pencils. I am a coloured pencil snob who adores my Prismacolors. These are certainly not for those selling artwork to the Smithsonian, but for those of us colouring to relieve stress or just be creative these coloured pencils are superb! They go down smooth and layer like a champ! The colours seem to blend nice, and I had no issues with breakage. For the price they are a great starter set for those wanting to enter the colouring hobby or for young artists. I got the 72 set to try and colours were not repeated which can be an issue with "budget" brand sets claiming to offer multiple colours. I will eventually buy the largest set to test if they do begin repeating colours and just renaming and renumbering to get those larger sets. This was one of my main gripes with the other brand I tried in watercolour pencils. They claimed 120, but truly only had probably 75 different colours. Not honest! As I mentioned, I will buy this brand again in a larger set, and I was happy with the range of colours as well as the performance in both coloured pencil and watercolour pencil. I even used these in a high quality hardback colour book by Hannah Karlzon. That says a lot in itself!

I bought these to try out as I wanted additional colors that my Prismacolor pencils set did not contain. The pencils are great for what they are, but they're not Prisma pencils. Some of the tips were broken off and I find I have to press a lot hard than I do with the Prisma pencils. The colors are fine. Nothing super exciting. They don't smudge. They trays that they come in are clear and hold the pencils well enough but it's kinda cumbersome getting the trays in the box so you might have to transfer them to another container. I'm not sorry about my purchase but I think I'd pass on them again.

Ive bought every Kalour Set and this is my favourite. The large set in my opinion the 180 plus boxes are too overwhelming and i dont need all the colours. I use the 50tube kalour as a travel set. I dont like to carry many pencils when colouring on the go. Ive discovered this 72 set has every colour you need for colouring books. I like to make 3 pencil colour combos. Light dark and medium tone with every colour to make as many diff shades as i can and this does that easily. You need a good range of greens and blues and browns ive noticed in colouring books and it also has a good range of the pinks purples, yellows, reds and to my suprise 3 skin tones and a pink cheek blush. I always use metalic silver and gold and yes it has it with the bonus of 2 metalic blues which will look great in my ocean pictures. It has oranges amd 3 grey tones that make my 3 colour combo. Its perfect ive never found a set that picked the perfect colours that will all get used. Im blown away. Kalour is my fav brand because my Hanna karlzon and johanna basford, maria trolle books love these and there also the brightest most intense colours. Over brands can be washed out faded looking and dont work in all colouring books. Theres the down side as the pencils arnt that thick and they do break but i just cant beat the pigments how good they colour and the perfect colour set this one has. Im gunna stock up on these and keep adding them to my basket now and then until i have a stack because there the only set i need and id like to have them a lifetime and i worry what if i suddenly cant find these again because this is the only seller ive seen with these. I dont use the tray i put hair bobbles around each set of colours as in greens together blues together and i keep them in a pencil case. Its my prefered way of storing and i find them a breeze to find the pencil i want this way. Ive added photos. Ive not done the colour combo charts for this set yet tho. Organize and find the right pencil set thats not too large and make plenty of colour combo charts and it really makes colouring a breeze and a pleasure. A perfect experience to me.
