my QC20 has got a problem on its left ear, hearing the noise under quiet mode. It's less than a year and bought from here, do you have any solutions?

Sounds like a hardware problem.  You are lucky it has propped up while you are still under a year.  Don't struggle around for answers.  Get straight on to Bose directly, armed with your proof of purchase.  Tell them you want a replacement product or your money back.  And, don't take a no for an answer.  Be quick before your warranty runs out very shortly.

Question 2

Should i be able to hear white noise / almost hissing sound when i use these? Don't know if the ones i have are faulty or if this is intentional!

Yes, it's there in mine too, it's not even quiet to be honest, but I guess that's just how this technology works. The white inner noise masks the external noises (with great efficiency, I have to add). When I listen to music the white noise is not noticeable, so not an issue. When I'm doing my French lessons on Duolingo, it's more disturbing though. I normally put some music on to mask the white noise while I study. I choose smooth jazz which works as a great, calm, non-distractive background noise for me. Still, I wish if this level of noise-cancelling could be achieved without the hissing somehow.

They help me. I only wear one in ear. The other ear is on my pillow thereby stopping most of the snore sound. The in ear bud stays in all night. I can't sleep on a bud though and my snorer isn't particularly loud as some I have been told of
