I love it, love it, love it!
I have been wanting one of these for a LONG time but could never justify the cost. Big mistake! Over the last 2 years I've worked my way through 4 cheap models (3 hand held mixers & 1 stand mixer) and the combined cost of those would virtually have paid for this one. So happy with it I wish I'd just done it sooner and saved a lot of money, time and frustration. Very sturdy, mixes wonderfully, great for pastry (makes the whole process even quicker). I use it at least 5 times a week for something or other. It's easy to clean and looks great. Part of the family now and will probably last forever. Only slight down is that I had really wanted the gorgeous deep blue colour but definitely could not justify spending the extra £100+ just for the colour, shame. Not sure why a different colour should increase the cost by so much. If you're wavering about purchasing this mixer because of the price I feel that it is a false economy to buy cheap, save a little longer and go for this one! Happy cooking...

KitchenAid Classic
Received my KitchenAid within 48 hours of ordering and spent a whole day cooking. I am a great fan of Ina Garten and regularly make her divine recipes so was looking forward to using my new and expensive toy. It is a substantial piece of equipment and you wouldn't want to keep moving it about so it needs a permanent place on the worktop where you can access both sides. Within a few moments I could see that the Pouring Shield (which is an extra) would be a good thing to have as when you add flour to the bowl, even at a slow speed,it tends to puff out over the sides but that is a minor quibble with what is a fantastic addition to the kitchen. I made my usual bread recipe and instead of kneading it myself I just popped it all in the bowl with the dough hook and went off and did something else. The dough that emerged was smooth and silky and it made a perfect loaf. Because it beats so well you have to be careful that you don't overmix sponges (yes, I made one of those as well! I purchased the white one because having read the reviews I thought another £150 for the red was probably not justified. All in all I am so pleased with it and would advise anyone thinking of buying one but balking at the price to just go for it!! I would like to add a comment to this review! Have been using the mixer nearly every day (for bread) but I must say that removing the bowl after mixing is really frustrating. It is almost impossible to rotate anti-clockwise to remove it and I had to spray WD40 on the base and it took two of us to remove it from the stand. I can now see why the other models have a handle on the bowl!!

Professional Baker - Had for 4 years, still going strong.
I purchased this mixer over 4 years ago during the 2011 Black Friday and got it at an absolutely brilliant price. Since then I have gone on to train professionally as a Baker/Patisserie chef and this mixer saw me through all of my training and beyond. Over the last 4 years I have used this mixer to make pastry, cookies, breads, cakes, ice creams, custards, even things such as mashed potatoes and burgers. It is exceptionally versatile and it has survived almost daily use without any repercussions - I will say that I have looked after this machine and followed the guidelines of maximum capacities and I believe that this is why my machine (along with the high build quality of KitchenAid) has lasted me for such a long time. I would recommend the Classic mixer over the Artisan any day as the differences between the two in the real world are not worth the additional cost in my professional opinion (I have used both). There are a few things about the classic that I don't like but these are trivial - the bowl doesn't have a handle and the whisk attachment isn't dishwasher safe, apart from that this is a brilliant machine. I recently upgraded to the larger 6.9L bowl-lift mixer due to needing something with more capacity and therefore I gave this mixer on to someone else. I cannot recommend this mixer enough it has been brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone who wants something that will last.

Expensive but well worth it!
I bought a KitchenAid Classic stand mixer last November, after a lot of research. I was originally looking at food processors to use to make fresh pasta but discovered that this stand mixer works just as well as a processor (the dough hook is perfect for the job). Since then I've used it to make countless cakes, pasta, bread dough and meringues. It's worth the money alone for the meringues! I couldn't be happier with the machine. It's solid, easy to use, easy to clean and even my husband was impressed with the build quality (he had to help me lift it out of the box, when it arrived). It's the daddy of kitchen gadgets and a must have for anyone who makes short crust pastry on a regular basis.

Brilliant Piece of Kitchen Equipment
I bought this a few weeks ago when it was reduced to £179.99, as an upgrade from having a Kenwood Chef Classic. The kenwood chef was ok at mixing and kneading but this maching is amazing. So far since I have got this machine I have made: 100 cupcakes 2 10" xmas cakes 2 8" xmas cakes 2 6" xmas cakes 3 birthday cakes Pizza Bases Beef Burgers mountains of buttercream scones The mixer handles everything i throw at it with no problems. a 10" xmas cake is a lot of mix, 500g sugar, 500g butter, 9 eggs, 2 KG of fruit, 500g flour. The mixer quite happily coped with the butter, sugar and eggs, half the flour and 1/3 of the fruit before the bowl was full, but i believe it would have happily kept going without any problem. This is the ideal addition to your kitchen, and will take the hard work out of baking and cooking as it is so versitile. And a snap now that is has been reduced further to £149.99

Love it but soooo overpriced in UK
I love my new mixer, it is a vast improvement over my old food processor and I have been making fresh bread and cakes endlessly since I got this last week. The unit is very heavy, being cast out of metal, and as such it never moves on the worktop at all even when I am mixing 600g of dough in it. The motor seems very strong and capable and the accessories and components are all made to last and are of good quality. It is a lot quieter than other mixers I have used and the planetary action of the beater works really well to mix everything in record time. I miss the beater attachment having a moulded splash-guard rim at the top like my Mum's old Kenwood chef K-Beater did - it means that when you are trying to scrape the inside of the bowl mid-way through mixing a cake mix, you get very sticky fingers because it really requires the beater to be removed to allow access to the bowl and there is no way to detatch it without touching sticky cake mix. However, it is very aesthetically pleasing, I love the retro look and it takes up hardly any more space on my worktop that the old food processor did. The only slight issue I have with this is that it has no liquidiser attachement which is a pain. My Mum's old Kenwood Chef had a great liquidiser goblet that attached straight to the top of her unit, but I have had to order a separate hand blender to make my soups and smoothies. I think this is because of the way the motor is mounted. I am going to the US next year and will bring back as many of the extra attachments as I can, they are all massively overpriced in the UK as is the mixer itself. This feels like KitchenAid are cashing in on being the 'brand of the moment'. Sort it out KitchenAid, don't rip us off please! Other than that, I love it and can't wait to see what else it can do. 4 stars.

I love this machine
This is by far and away the best kitchen product I have ever bought. It is so versatile and useful. It's solid and tough. I use it a lot for bread making and it never gives up, however tough the assigment. Equally it makes great meringues - light and fluffy. I thought the Artisan range was too poncey and overpriced before I bought this and now I know it is. If you're a good cook and you fancy a work-horse that won't let you down and don't need a fancy colour and bowl with a handle, then get this Classic Mixer... I have also since bought some attachments for pasta making for this and they are great too. It's so much more than a mixer!

BRILLIANT
I had been thinking about buying a Kitchen Aid Artisan for some time when my husband stumbled across the classic which is cheaper. The only differences are that the Artisan is slightly more powerful, comes in different colours(The Classic only comes in white) and has a 4.8 litre capacity bowl(4 litre for the classic) with a handle and splash protector. My mother in law has an Artisan which she loves. I decided to go for the Classic and test it out. It arrived broken. Firstly I must say that Amazon's return service is second to none. I completed the returns form on line and recieved my replacement on the same day that they collected the original. I can't tell you how pleased I am with it. I stood it next to my Mother in Law's Artisan to compare. Honestly. Unless you are really bothered about the colour I would'nt bother spending the extra money. Yes I know that it's much cheaper in America but so are a lot of things! I think that if you want a really sturdy, well built practical and good looking machine that's going to last forever! this is the one for you.

It's not 220V
Although in the question section says it's support 220V it's not. Now I'm stuck with this unit

Excelente producto, excelente precio!

An Iconic Workhorse with Noticable Limits: Power Over Polish
The KitchenAid Classic Series 4.5 Quart Stand Mixer is a kitchen staple for a reason—it’s built like a tank and can handle almost any dough you throw at it. However, the "Classic" entry-level model lacks some of the refined stability found in the more expensive Professional or Artisan series. Why the experience feels a bit rough: - The "Shaky" Factor: One of the biggest issues is that the mixer can get shaky at high speeds. Because it’s a tilt-head design with a slightly lighter base than the bowl-lift models, it tends to "dance" or vibrate on the counter when you're whipping at high velocity or working through a particularly stiff batch of cookies. - Noise Level: It is definitely noisy. The motor has a very mechanical, high-pitched whir that becomes quite prominent as you dial up the speed. It’s a loud reminder of the 250 watts of power under the hood, but it’s far from a quiet kitchen experience. - Solid Construction: Despite the noise and vibration, the all-metal construction is incredibly durable. This is a machine that feels like it will last for decades, even if it isn't the smoothest operator in the room. - Perfect Entry-Level Size: The 4.5-quart bowl is the "sweet spot" for most home bakers. It’s large enough for a standard loaf of bread or a dozen cupcakes but doesn't take up as much precious counter space as the massive pro models. It’s a dependable, legendary tool that gets the job done, but you’ll have to tolerate a bit of noise and movement to get those perfect results.

No decepciona
Ya me habían recomendado comprar marca Kitchen Aid, ya que es muy resistente, y lo estoy comprobando. Ya sea que bata con pala, globo o gancho, mis masas quedan muy bien

White Classic mixer for teen
Gift for my teen daughter from Nana. First box, came damaged. Had to file a return due too damage. Got a refund, then had to reorder it again, after the holidays and now full price. I called Amazon, they provided me a credit for the difference. 2nd box came without issues and my daughter LOVES using it. I appreciate customer service working with me.
