The cold weather is setting in and winter is coming. It was time to purchase myself some warm socks to replace my thin (and now hole-y) summer ones. Having previously used thermal socks before and found them to not be that "warming" at all, I was skeptical about this product. Due to the amount of high reviews I thought I would give it a try, I'm glad I did! The item comes as 3 individual pairs. The way thermal socks work is that they're designed to keep heat in, so if your feet are really cold to start with it won't make that big a difference. Just bare that in mind. I found it best to put them on straight after a hot shower and your feet will remain toasty all day long. The title is a little misleading, it could be read that the socks are 3 tog but in reality they're 2.3 tog. Due to the thickness of the sock I found it uncomfortable to wear with smart shoes or trainers, so for wearing to work they're no good which is a shame. I cannot fault the product for that though as they keep my feet nice and warm all evening after a long day! Cannot recommend them enough, money well spent.

These socks are great! Very thick and warm...so soft and comfortable, and they haven't got tight tops that cut into your ankles! No, I am not a bloke and yes, I know these are men's socks...but ideal for me when wearing wellington boots out in our wood. Excellent seller too, quick dispatch - would order again!

I work in a cold factory and I'm the first to arrive in the morning. During the Winter months the place can be in the minus numbers till the heating kicks in and warms the place up to a lovely 2 degrees and the brass monkeys stop crying! So I needed some socks that would keep my feet warm but also be comfortable to wear. These are those socks. They are thick, durable and lined with a soft material. I've even gone on to recommend these to many friends and family who have all been equally as pleased with their purchase.

These are decent warm socks but I see little advantage to most other thick socks in that respect. The real advantage is in the bargain price of £7.88 I paid for the triple pack. One drawback though is the broad range of sizes covered, 6-11. I'm an 8 and I found if I just pulled them on like I do with my normal thin socks, the heel ended half way up my leg! So I then have to rearrange them, pulling the heel down into its the correct position. That then creates an amount of slack between the heel and the toe so they cannot be a close fit around the foot which is annoying. Having done that, a further difficulty arises because if your foot is a good fit in the shoe, when you push your foot into your shoe it makes the slack of the sock ride up, pushing the heel up and out of place again. This is particularly the case with some high ankle boots I wear. It's a struggle to keep the heel in the right place whilst putting on the shoes. And even if I do successfully get the shoes on whilst keeping the heel in the right place, the slack in the foot of the socks can become a bit uncomfortable after a while. I'd need these socks to be quite a bit smaller to be a good fit without having to faff around keeping the heel in the right place and putting up with excess slack in the foot, so it's a pity that they don't do more precise sizes. Maybe they'll shrink after washing, don't know yet but that would suit me. Or they would also suit someone with much bigger feet, at the upper end of the 6-11 range. So I'm not overly happy about these socks for my size feet. But having said all that, they are much warmer than normal thin socks so I'd recommend them on balance.

As a well advanced diabetic, reasonably well controlled by diet and medication, I find it difficult to keep my feet warm, so thick socks like these are a great help. I have previously bought the Heat Holders, but these seem just as good and better value. So far they also don't seem to cause so much itching around my ankles. I wear these over a thin pair of socks, so can use them for several days before they go in the wash.

Good quality socks. Did what was expected in that they kept my feet warm. Dropped 2 stars due to being 2.3 tog not 3 as advertised. Still worth having though.

Good. well insulated socks at a good price. These socks are much warmer than normal thermal socks. This does however come with being much thicker than usual so if your shoes only just fit they may not be for you. They are about the same insulation level as the Heat Holders brand but nice and cheap.

Do not buy these socks.I would have returned but even opening 1 pair had hole in.
