Birsppy Sydney 2 Metre Black & Walnut 2 Door TV Cabinet Extra Large Unit

Been thinking of buying a Sydney tv cabinet for quite a while. Put up with my original (very expensive when new) glass tv stand. Thought about the small one initially, but the storage in the cupboards was too limited. Eventually, decided on a 58” Panasonic and bought the 2m unit. Arrived in just over a day. Assembled myself, wife went out before any rows developed, and took me an hour and a half, but delayed putting the back on. Instructions are excellent, although there are a few things to take into consideration. I like my tv & hi-fi etc and wanted to hide 2 dvd recorders, a CD player a DAB tuner and Sub woofer away from view and also stop admiring the collection of dust on my old glass shelving unit. I achieved the above and also put my Yamaha receiver/tuner & Centre Speaker in the centre of the cabinet. Beware, the measurements are spot on, but the plinth reduces access from the front. I overcame this by, installing some of the above from the rear and did not use the shelf in the middle, but used it in a side cupboard. Also used a 1.5” wood drill bit to add a number of holes in the rear panel for access of aerial connections and a couple of 4 way extensions. (Stored inside unit) and speaker leads. When everything was in situ, I fixed the back panel. I am not a joiner of any standing, never cut a piece of timber straight in my life, but I am over the moon with assembling this piece of kit. Another important point, you MUST put some fibre cushion protectors on the feet, especially if you have laminate/timber flooring. Protects the floor and makes it easy to move. You will not find anything this good for the price anywhere. I have seen various similar products, already assembled, but they are double and more the cost. Even better, her indoors is a very happy bunny. If you’re looking for a great looking TV stand, that (if you’re like me) will take ALL your add on hi-fi/audio equipment, BUY ONE.

Have had this for years and it's quality is perfect and makes your living room look more stylish

I'm generally pleased with my purchase. It looks nice, it's sturdy and was easy to put together. The only drawback for me is that the front trim gets in the way of my vinyl collection - I wish the drop down cupboard was just a bit higher so that the LPs would go in and out without having to tilt them - it's a nuisance but I guess I can live with it.

I ordered this cabinet to house my new AV receiver, DVD player and CD, amplifier etc. It is large but in a big room it is not overwhelming. Nice and low so it sits neatly below my wall mounted TV. Assembly took me an hour or so and though I'm not a DIY expert I was able to do it alone with just a few basic tools. The quality is no more than can be expected for the price but it looks very good with a nice wood effect that appears natural. It is strong and stable but quite easy to move. The two end cabinets have masses of storage. I put my amplifier inside one and use the other to store DVDs. I had to cut additional holes in the backing board to enable cables to be routed but that was easy enough as the board is thin enough to be cut with a sharp craft knife. I was going to give it four stars but it fully deserves the extra one for the quality of the seller's customer service. On delivery, the base section was damaged, though it was only after I unwrapped everything I noticed it as there was no marks on the packing. I emailed the seller who contacted me by phone within a couple of minutes and dispatched a replacement the same day. I've never had a better response by an online company.

Very easy to assemble. I did it with just myself and took me only 2 hours. I did it slow and instructions are very easy to follow and understand. The quality of the unit is very good! It’s very sturdy and looks really stylish! Delivery came a day early to the date I chose, but I didn’t mind that as was home anyway. All boxes were in good condition when dropped off and I found no marks or issues with the wood. I would 100% recommend this to anyone! Very happy with my purchase.

This cabinet is great and I can not recommend it enough. Arrives in two boxes - delivery was quick. Putting together is typical flat pack, can be a proper pain, but once you have the hang of it it goes ok. Took me about 90mins to build. Looks very smart, nice walnut finish. The only issue I had was with the two black doors, they were both slightly scratched and one of the plastic handles was broken. The handles are cheap plastic, but this is easily solved by replacing them with something of a bit more quality. Overall, for the price I am extremely happy with this cabinet. It looks very smart in my lounge. Despite a few minor issues I would still highly recommend this seller and this product.

Read many reviews of this product before I decided to go for it and I am delighted with my choice. The Unit arrived on the 28th April even though it wasn't due to arrive between 1st & 5th of May, which was a total bonus as my new 75" tv was arriving the next day. The unit took a couple of hours to put up and it looks fantastic. Great quality, very sturdy and worth every penny.

I found that although it looks fine when completed it is a real pain to put together! I don't think I would get another of this make because the quality is poor even by pack flat standards
