How solid is the magnet inside the steel cone? Will it or can it (the magnet) loosen up inside the cone over time or under heavy use?

I have 2 stainless steel rods attached to my spine with bolts (and i am very lightweight) and i was wondering if it is safe to use this?

Most stainless steels have little-to-no magnetic attraction. I believe this is 304 grade stainless, so it will have a little magnetic attraction, but not strong enough to cause you problems in that regard. If you can physically throw other objects safely of similar weight, should be no different.

Will this work well to horizontal drag? Or only drop vertical?

Yes...but a 360 degree would work better

Is the entire cone magnetic? Or is it just magnetic on the bottom?

The entire cone is NOT magnetic, only the base of the cone houses the magnet. The magnet is strong, my 5 year old grandaughter cannot get it off the refrigerator. I have two and a seven year old grandson cannot separate the two magnets.
