No sight nor sound of mice (or their poos)
Bought this for my aunt, who lives in the countryside in Wales and is vegetarian. Why is it important that she's vegetarian? Because the house is full of pulses and rice and oats and other things that vermin really enjoy. She's also completely clueless with technology, which is why I bought it for her. It arrived, and she plugged it in. No adjustments, no fiddling, just plugged it in. Her dog hasn't noticed anything, so it really is safe around pets. On the other hand, there's no sign of the mice. DId they leave for the good weather? Did they decide that it's a whole lot less comfortable inside the house now? I don't know. I do know that a single device in the kitchen at one end of the house has completely cleared the whole house (it sets up an electromagnetic wave throughout the house's mains wiring, which is why it can clear a whole house instead of just the area affected by the ultrasound). So I won't complain. Good purchase.

Silent repeller.
Received in perfect condition. Plugged in and I can't hear any sound from it.

Absolutely useless
Have had 2 of these in my attic for 4 weeks now, and they have made no difference at all. I even opened the lids up so rats could have easy access, but they just go up to the bait box, look, and walk away again. I feel that I have wasted my money. Absolutely useless

Appears to work
I have 3 of these plus 2 battery operated ones and they appear to work. Firstly, I use them to repel rats which I have in my loft and cavity walls. I use these in combination with poison. The reason for the purchase is the electromagnetic element. Ultrasonic does not go through hard surfaces such as walls, but the electromagnetic part works off the wiring. Most houses have 2 circuits, one up and one downstairs. You need to have one connected to each circuit to cover your property and for it to work inside the walls. The battery ones are in the loft and are Ultrasonic only. Do they work then? I think so, but in combination with other measures, ie. Poison. Do they work straight away? No, be patient. No one wants rodents in their house, but it takes time. Are the lights bright? Yep! But just cover them with electrical tape. Job done! Is there a noise off them? A slight clicking but nothing intrusive. Expensive? A little but to be honest, it's nothing compared to ratty running around so I hence why I purchased 3!

This really works
This really works. No sign of mice or their presence since plugged in two years ago. Recommended.

It does exactly what it say on the tin!
We live in a relatively new house but had a mouse problem. For a few months we heard scratching noises in the walls, I found some mouse faeces when I was cleaning behind a book case and top it all of, saw a little mouse scurrying around in the living room. I did not want to trap or kill any mouse so I found Rentokil Beacon Mouse & Rat Rep Dual Action as a less lethal way of getting rid of mouse. I had this on for about 4 months and all mouse activities have seized. However, when I looked at the quarterly electricity bill, I was a bit shocked! The electricity usage was the same as the previous quarter except for this deterrent so I switched it off. About three months have gone now and we have not had a single squeak or scratches from mouse so this seemed to have done its job. I couldn't give a full five star due to its high electricity consumption.

Seems to have worked...
I had a mouse scratching in my living room ceiling recently so bought 2 of these ....one I plugged into a socket in the living room....and the other in a socket in the room above the living room ..... and within a day....no more scratching. Then two weeks ago in a bedroom in another part of the house there was again scratching in the ceiling. I bought another repeller and plugged it into a socket in the bedroom....once again within a day no more scratching. So on the basis of the evidence I have so far ...they seem to work. Only slight negative is I wish the nightlight could be dimmed or even switched off because it's rather bright and the ticking sound they emit can be a bit noticeable say in quiet locations....I've now grown accustomed to the sound so no big deal really.

Does not work
Bought one initially for upstairs of the house as I heard the critter in the cavities. Appeared to aggravate them, but made no difference. So, I bought a second one for downstairs, so they were now working on both the upstairs and downstairs circuits! It is now 5 days and the mice are still active in cavities and the attic. I am now resorting to poison and traps. Really do not think this is worth buying.

On dirait bien
J'ai acheté ce pour dissuader les souris du bureau, mais la fiche est l'anglais est donc un mauvais départ, j'utilise un adaptateur mais il ne fonctionne pas vraiment à mon avis. Nous avons encore des souris. C'est comme ça

Not Dog friendly.
This product is not pet friendly. When it was plugged in our Border Collie that was lying on the settee got up, looked worried and went to the furthest point in the house that it could get to and was shaking. When the repeller was unplugged the dog returned back to normal. This item must emit an ultrasonic frequency that our dog can hear. The cat was totally unbothered by it.
