efbe-schott High Pressure Steam Cleaner, 1.7 Litre, 1500 W, 3 Bar, Yellow

This item is my first steam cleaner, I researched the product before buying to make sure I was getting a decent one at a good price. I followed the clear instructions, waited for the temperature to be reached then attacked my bathroom, all the little nooks in the shower door, the grouting around the toilet, the dust and grime located in areas only a very thin toothbrush could reach. What a revelation, why didn't I get A steam cleaner years ago! The cleaner is very easy to use, strong but lightweight to move around. The dash of steam reaches everywhere thanks to the useful attachments, which are self explanatory. I moved on to my oven, oven grills, then all the little buttons on my washing machine that get residue but cannot be cleaned properly, the inside rim, the joints between the skirting board and the floor etc etc. I didn't run out of steam once, the machine worked perfectly, and the results are amazing. So easy, useful and affordable. I highly recommend this steam cleaner.

Honestly. I know this is quite a budget item. It makes all the right noises but frankly its useless. Initially tried it on some grout, useless. Then on car upholstery, marginally better but very time consuming. Any regular use it would probably fall to pieces. Its like buying a cheap hoover compared to a decent one. If you are planning on using this for cleaning a car dont waste your money go to a valet centre with a proper steamer and save yourself a lot of time. As for in the home I cant see what it can do that a general purpose cleaner and some elbow grease cant. Its a pity you cant use no stars or minus stars

I like it a lot it gets me in the mood for cleaning which can only be a good thing. It is not a a miracle worker though it is not going to get black mold off from the shower but hardly anything does.The large capacity tank is great as you are not having to stop and refill every 5 mins. It has many tools for all sorts of jobs. I tend to use the small round brush most of the time, so could see this not lasting that long but you can buy extra's quite cheaply. The one thing I would say is the handle has ridges and I seem to get blister when using for long periods of time as it is new!, but I think I am going to put some padding on it should sort that. Overall very happy with my purchase for the price.

I liked the look of this steamer as it had only positive reviews unlike a lot of other steamers in this price category. I'm glad I got it. Decent construction, very easy click assembly on all the pieces. No steam leakage and a very big tank of water. It also can be used to clean carpet, has a garment steamer and window cleaner attachment too. I tried it on my mirror first which as it turned out had quite a bit of minuscule grime on it. The steamer unfortunately just highlighted these patches which I had to scrub with window cleaner and scouring pad. So at this point I was a bit dubious whether this thing helped or not. I tackled my fire place next - here it did actually loosen up quite a lot of dirt which scrubbing alone had not removed. This is however not the miracle spray nozzle you see on tv. You still need to use a scouring pad/brush/toothbrush/cloth to wipe away the dirt. Just like a cleaning agent helps with this, so does this steam cleaner. I found using a sponge, some cleaner and the steam cleaner a great combo that could tackle anything. The steamer by itself kinda only loosens up the dirt so you do still need to get on your hands and knees for some jobs. So hopefully that gives some people a better idea of this little gadget. I know I will be using this a lot from now on - it is invaluable for cleaning a toilet alone which this thing could tackle so easily and fast with everything ending up disinfected and clean. On most jobs however it won't save any time at all - infact they will take a lot longer. Takes 10 minutes for this thing to heat up. So yeah I can see how some people would get frustrated with this and stick to a mop - I know I will stick to a mop for my kitchen floor but this has found a home here for the odd disinfecting or freshening up my chairs and killing any dust mites around the house. I like gadgets and one outcome of playing around shooting at dust mites lurking in the corners with this steam powered gun is that my house should become cleaner lol EDIT June 2015: This little beauty has been with me for 1 year now and I still use it for all the jobs I know would take a lot of scrubbing otherwise. The reason for my update is that a friend (not bigfoot) stepped on the extension adaptor and snapped it... Well after expecting the worst I discovered their uk based customer help are perfect - sending me out a replacement instantly for manufacturers' price (not dyson prices) and postage. They even included the next adaptor piece being worried mine might not fit properly. I can't believe this steamer is even cheaper now than when I bought it

I have just taken my new steam cleaner out of the box and gone mad around the house with it!!! Seems great! So far have done vinyl floors, around wcs, removed two stains from a cream carpet and refreshed the remainder of it! I think I will be exhausted before it runs out of steam!! I had one of these before and the springs for holding the cloth in place were faulty, so I returned it. I'm glad to see that they seem to be much more sturdy on this machine! I like that the majority of tools are on board, so you have them with you when you need them. I really like the bright yellow colour, it's bright and cheery, and the red and amber lights are like two little eyes! I realise that I have used it only once, but first impressions are good!

This is the first time I have ever been compelled to write a review on Amazon, and I have been a dedicated Amazon user for a long number of years. I paid approx. £60 for this item and it packed in after around 10-12 uses. It no longer produces steam. I don't think it's particularly well made and the accessories are of low quality. The small circular brush with plastic bristles attachment had all its bristles melted and clumped together after only one usage! I was very disappointed with this item to say the very least. I would not recommend this as a purchase, even at the discounted price.

I have an exterior grade (ie patio) riven sandstone kitchen floor, which is deep cleaned on hands and knees (1hr+) with a scrubbing brush and mop about every 6 weeks, with a quick mop in between. This cleaner did a better job in 15 minutes. The second go has brought it up like new, lifting all marks. After steaming I mopped up the residue and it dried quickly. I bought it to steam a large rug my dog rests on in the day and results were impressive too. You should know that it doesn't suck up (like a Vax, but even the rug is clean and bright. (I hoovered before and after, once dry). I am very impressed.

i am so disappointed with this product. Runs out of steam after 10 mins then you have to wait hours for it to cool when u can re-charge it with water. Also, not having a water level gauge is a major draw-back! Buy Cheap, Buy Twice! UPDATE: 2 weeks later product has given up providing more than 5mins steam. It is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE! How do I get a refund?
